May 20, 201213 yr Author comment_5502974 Bockwinkel explains why he made the decision that he made at Spring Stampede. Flair is upset at the idea that he didn't successfully defend his title at Spring Stampede, and gives the belt back if anyone has a problem with it. He and Steamboat get in a pretty heated argument and Bockwinkel promises a decision surrounding the title by the end of the show. Good segment.
May 28, 201213 yr comment_5504305 I guess I missed that the Stampede finish was so controversial. It does get us a pretty good segment between Flair an Steamboat with talk about another match. So that's good to me. Flair handing over the title was a bit surprising. He seems to have abandoned his heelish ways for now.
June 1, 201213 yr comment_5505007 This was good. The controversy continues over the finish to Spring Stampede.
June 7, 201213 yr comment_5505834 Good heated promo and the feud between them remains good when the focus is on each other.
November 24, 201212 yr comment_5520881 The segment is good, and I like that they kept on going with the feud, but the title being held up is pretty lame. A way to boost Flair's record I guess.
November 24, 201212 yr Author comment_5520885 Well, WCW didn't even count this in the total number of title reigns, which makes it even more pointless.
April 12, 201411 yr comment_5598844 Bockwinkel explains in greater detail his decision at Spring Stampede--the benefit of the doubt always goes to the champion. Bockwinkel announces that the title is held up and promises further news "later," but Flair is out and demands answers NOW. Hey, a fighting heel champion. Steamboat rebuts, and he's come off pretty whiny ever since that decision was announced.
