They brawl into the crowd and have a wild match. Sabu uses a clearly non-gimmicked beer bottle as a weapon.
June 15, 201213 yr comment_5506663 Better than their Arena debut match. 9-1-1 too involved though by helping Sabu. He even holds the table for Sabu with Jack lying on it. Impressive moonsault still. It is hard to cheer against Cactus at this point in both WCW and ECW. The bottle shots by Sabu are brutal. That stuff needs to be gimmicked. Awful sounding.
June 29, 201213 yr comment_5508483 This match was good I thought. It was a fun wild brawl and the finish was very believable. Sabu was clocking Cactus with a non-gimmicked beer bottle over and over again. That shit was hard to listen to.
July 7, 201213 yr comment_5509534 It feels like these guys have a classic brawl in them and while this was better than the previous match this wasn't it. The match lost heat periodically. Some of the bumps were brutal.
June 9, 201411 yr comment_5606360 Good match with a few oft-repeated images, like Sabu splattering the guardrail and repeatedly whacking Jack with a bottle, with Jack IIRC basically insisting that Sabu keep going until the damn thing actually broke. Score one for the use of gimmicked weapons in wrestling after watching that. I could have done without Paul E. and 911 entirely and I think they're actively holding Sabu back at this point. (The dirty truth is that since the Dangerous Alliance, the only protege that Paul E. has ever helped has been Lesnar, but that's for another time and place.) ECW is finally coalescing into a memorable, compelling product. This holds up as good today and you can see how crazy it would have come across 20 years ago.
June 8, 20178 yr comment_5803360 I really dug this match. I'm a fan of a lot of the ECW brawls of this time period and this is right up there. The bottle shots were really brutal and no matter how many times I watch this, it makes me cringe. Like others here, I could have done without the interference from 911 but it doesn't take away from the match overall. I do think this holds up really well 22 years later.
