Earthquake Ferris/Rocky Stone Man Buddy is great as he mocks Earthquake for his obesity, than tries a shoulder block and does the Buddy bump through the ropes off of it. Man Somers fucking stiffs the shit out of Ferris with chops. Somers gets opened up on for a bit, but suplexes Stone in the heel corner and they take over. Cool finish as Stone tries to make a comeback, ducks his head and Rose drills him with a DDT. This wasn't a nomination but it was cool to see Rose and Somers in a match like this. Rose/Somers interview. This was good stuff Midgtets match from Wrestlerock Shawn Michaels v. Frankie DeFalco DeFalco has to be the hammiest foil for quick babyface I can remember seeing. He's entertaining but totally over the top. Decent match Rockers promo Larry Z promo Larry Zbyszko v. Jake Milliman The Milkman leading the Larry sucks chants was kind of amusing. YOu have to hand it to the AWA, their jobbers really did have flare and were not just bodies. Larry wins in quick order with a piledriver. Larry Z promo Johnny Rich v. Ken Timbs Holy fuck what a bizarre match on paper. This is one of the most up and down matches I've seen in watching for this set. Some of the stuff looked really good, particularly from Timbs. Other stuff looked confused or silly. This match got an unsual amount of time for two total unknowns who were basically in and out. Rich promo Col Debeers v. Rick Gantner Quick squash with the Col. crushing the future Bull Pain's leg. Debeers promo. Debeers accuses Scott Hall of steroid abuse Buddy Rose/Doug Somers v. Jimmy Snuka/Greg Gagne Greg seems to flub a few spots early with Buddy which is rare though nothing looks to bad. Buddy busts out a kip up early which was pretty cool. God damn Somers can take a back body drop. Buddy steps on the ropes and they do the spot where Greg bounces the ropes causing him to crotch himself. Somers is fun contorting like a freak and selling the hell out of the base level stuff the faces are working. There is an awesome spot where Somers tries to come back with stiff shots and Greg fucking drills him in return. Somers falls into his corner and Buddy backs away from the tag in a really wonderful act of cowardice. Rose teasing the effort for a tag he obviously didn't want was pretty glorious. Gagne comes off the ropes and Somers does this weird trip thing taking him down. Gagne is taking these horribly weird bumps and gets fucking crushed by Buddy with the Billy Robinson backbreaker. Buddy bumps his own ass and tags in Doug. Buddy chokes Greg with the tag rope and he tags back in. At this point they are basically working over Greg's throat with a myriad of chokes and throat strikes which are pretty sick. They change things up and go to work on the ribs of Gagne, but Buddy gets busted cheating on an ab stretch. He goes for a second, but Gagne reversed into his own before Buddy hip tosses out. Snuka gets the hot tag and lights up Somers for a near fall. Doug gets crushed with strikes from Gagne and takes a couple more back body drops Buddy gets decked and is offering up the Buddy greatness with his selling and sure enough Gagne hits some damn good dropkick and locks on the sleeper and Buddy comes off the top and crushes Gagne with a double axe. Match gets thrown out. Really dumbass finish to a pretty good match. Post-match Sherri gets whipped into Buddy and the place is going fucking crazier than I've ever seen the Showboat. This deserves to be seen by others on the crew, but it's hard to imagine it making it to the next level. Gagne/Snuka promo. Gagne and Snuka advocating beating women. For Snuka this is just continuity, but it seems strange for Greg.
