Early Finlay is boss. Probably my favourite Dave Finlay era to be honest. This was the final of a tournament for the vacant British Light-heavyweight title and as these tournament finals so often did the bout ended in a double countout to force a replay, sort of like an FA Cup replay when a match is drawn. The replay produces a result so there's every chance it's better than this, but for now I'm listing this. Really stiff, niggly action. Watching this convinced me that Dave Finlay is what Dynamite Kid could have been if Dynamite Kid had been a better worker. They both looked like hoodlums and both of them stirred up shit. Ringo's a good opponent for Finlay in that respect as he doesn't take much shit. Finish is a bit of a downer but the action is good.
