Bill Anderson singles match as Tanaka can stiff a guy and Anderson can take it. Knight's rolling elbow was a fucking ludicrous poor man's Guerrero spot. Diamond was pretty vicious in this too. Hennig pre-tape talking about Lawler "screwing" him out of the title in Memphis. Not essential, but possibly an EXTRA Rocky Mountain Thunder v. Mike Richards Disappointing because there was no murderous Widow's Peak spot. Badd Company/DDP promo. Solidat Ustinov v. Houdini Fucking graphic says "T. Joe Khan" which is to awesome for words. For some reason Houdini runs full speed into a Ustinov boot and then almost dies on a bump to the floor. The Baron shows up with his baseball bat/American Flag, which apparently was a gift from Kent Hrbeck. Ustinov wins with the backbreaker Rockers promo Bloody Lawler post-title win promo. This may have made the Memphis Set, but should probably make this set as well. EXTRA Pat O'Conner v. Bobby Duncum JIP, Mat Classic. Short and nowhere near as good as the other O'Conner match from this era. The Big K tells Curt Hennig he was unwise for not listening to him. Midnight Rockers v. Jim Evans/Tom Stone Stone kicking out of what seemed like the sure finish was pretty crazy. Decent squash RnR Express promo ringside in the Showboat. Totally strange to see. Finishig stretch of a Gagne/Hennig match with a disputed finish and the crazy old men Hennig/Gagne clan running in. EXTRA Greg Gagne promo explaining the title dispute. Ricky Rice v. Brian Knobbs. This is really short as Knobbs eats some dropkicks and then just chucks Rice wildly over his head to the floor. Mando Guerrero v. Alex Knight Knight is basically a guy working a wannabe Mando gimmick so this amused me. This actually kinda sucked and was made worse with Marshall trying to get it over so hard. Jerry Lawler sit down interview with Bill Apter talking up his World Title win. Badd Company/DDP promo Brian Knobbs v. Samoan Joe This kind of has the feel of a hate crime. Knobbs crushes Joe pretty dismissevely. Gagne promo T. Joe Khan v. Riki Attaka Still loving that graphic. Khan destroys him Baron promo Finishing run of the Lawler/Hennig title switch Another Hennig pre-tape bitching about the title switch. EXTRA The Big K weighs in on Hennig again Rock N Roll Express v. Mike Richards/Krusher ? Really weird to watch RnR's work dominating squash match of this length, let alone one where they destroy someones leg. Wahoo promo. Paul Diamond v. Greg Gagne Early portion of this with Gagne hitting his stuff and Diamond bumping big was good. For a match of this length that segment went on too long though. This was paced like an AWA arena match from 82, not a Showboat era match from 88. As a result Diamond's control segment felt weak and rushed and while the match was decent, it was underwhelming. Tanaka ends up coming out and they try and steal a win, but Jannetty hits the ring and makes the save.
