Posted May 6, 201213 yr comment_5501920 Jerry Blackwell/Ken Patera v. Rick Martel/Steve O Faces control this early, with effect ground/work the arm stuff. Watching Blackwell take bumps off rope running spots never gets old. Blackwell tries to make a comeback but airballs on a splash and Martel hits his slingshot splash for a near fall. I like the momentum swing here as all hell breaks loose with confusion about whether or not it was a 2 or a 3 and it allows for the Sheiks to take over. Martel gets a big hope spot off of a roll up which was really close to a three and Steve O gets tagged in. Steve O with an airplane spin and Blackwell runs in and hits an elbow on his own partner on accident with Martel hitting a follow up body press for the first fall. Second fall the heels take control quickly, including a nice powerslam from Blackwell. Match quickly goes to an annoying time limit draw. Too bad as it was on it's way to being great. Mad Dog Vachon/Steve O v. Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie/Jerry Blackwell Pretty good but againt the match gets thrown out right as it starts to get really good with Adnan and Mad Dog brawling on the floo and Blackwell beating the fuck out of Steve O's hand. Too bad. Angle with Lanza turning on Heenan and Heenan promo. Good stuff. Finish of Buck Zumhoffe v. Mike Graham. Baron Von Raschke v. David Shultz JIP. The first part of this was not bad, but then it got boring as piss with nerveholds and both guys being who you thought they were. Blackjack Lanza v. Bobby Heenan About what you'd expect with Bobby bumping, cheating for a heat segment and then leaving. Entertaining but not somethig that really needs to be on a set like this.
May 7, 201213 yr comment_5501968 The Lanza turn on Heenan appears on the Blackjacks HOF form WWE Classics, not sure about the interviews though. That will be the best quality version to use if it makes the set. The SHeiks actually won the match vs Mad Dog and Steve O as the ref stopped the match because of the damage being inflicted on O's hand which was legit surgically repaired (He was out forever because of it).
