Larry Z sit down promo talking with Greg about his training with Sarge. This is pretty funny shit, but all of these segments are pretty funny shit. EXTRA Greg Gagne/Curt Hennig v. Jimmy Garvin/Steve Regal I have seen small clips of this IIRC, so this was neat to see in full. Hennig is the early FIP and the heels really aren't doing anything compelling, but Curt is so explosive and dynamic in everything he does that when he gets a chance to even move around the match is pretty exciting. The faces take over and the match has a fun pace, but of course we get the Precious assisted finish. I liked this, but man the heel were just too fucking weak to nominate this. Nick Bockwinkel v. Kevin Kelly This was interesting to watch as you have Bock trying to lead a really green, babyface Kelly to a quality match. Kelly is so fucking terrible that his big hope spot sequence is actually a couple of bearhugs, but it works because Bock is so well at selling things. Bock fucking snaps and starts beating the shit out of Kelly with really vicious looking strikes. Kelly tries to come back again and Bock of all people hits a fucking crushing leaping clothesline off the ropes. I don't know why but the spot really shocked me and looked nasty. Then Bock locked on his sleeper, took Kelly down to the mat and won. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, but I'm not sure this is as good as Blacwell v. Kelly and that's something that probably won't make the set unless I use a personal pick on it. Stan Hansen squash. Long Riders v. Brad Rheingans/Jerry O Opening is reasonably fun and spirited. Really loved the spot with Rheingans cartwheeling away from the Hog drop down monkey flip attempt. Rheingans gets in some fun near falls, but Jerry O is not the sharpest guy I've ever seen. This went to a draw and felt every bit as long as it was. Kamala v. Rick Martel Kamala is seconded by Larry Z and does a toe touch in the first minute. WTF? Kamala busts out some agility early, but also eats a big Martel dropkick. Martel smartly goes for the knees and gets some work in, but Kamala cuts him off. Kamala's offense is Kamala's offense but Martel sells it like crazy and then Kamala locks on a fucking titty twister where he picked Martel up by the boobs and tossed him down. This goes into a stretch with Martel trying to fight back by going to the leg, but Kamala goes back to the boob. Kamala his a slam and goes for a splash but misses and Martel hits his slingshot splash for a near fall. Kamala is rolling but just fucking heaves Martel over the top for a dq. This was on the verge bu the finish killed it. Freebirds squash and promo.
