Posted May 7, 201213 yr comment_5502033 We have this already. I passed on this as a nomination the first time, but I'll guess I'll throw it on the dock now because I could see Kris liking this more than me and it is a complete match. There is plenty of good stuff here, but my criticism about the faces controlling too much of a short match holds. Blackwell does do some pretty awesome stuff including a sick splash and some great quick bumps early. The finish with the heels fleeing after claiming they won is kind of confusing, but that was used to set up the angle furthering the feud which is another reason this should maybe appear on the set.
May 8, 201213 yr comment_5502128 re: the ending, going off memory the Sheiks got a pin with one of the Flyers in the ropes, took the belts and left thinking they were the new champs. Someone alerted the ref that there was a foot in the ropes, and the ref restarts the match, which leads to him counting out the Sheiks since they left and don't know the match is being restarted. Same ending happened in a Dino Bravo-Nick Bockwinkel match that I'm sure was reviewed around here somewhere from 1980 Winnipeg.

Jerry Blackwell/Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie Low End Nomination - AWA Year In Review 1982 Disc One - I was rooting for this and Gagne made a good face in peril but it was criminally short as a clip and no single spot or sequence will help me remember this match.
