NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. The Invader (9/21/86)

God I hope this is in full. Flair shakes Invader's hand before the match as the darkness is rising in San Juan in a cool visual. There is a feeling out process to start with Flair trying to stall Invader a bit but Invader isn't having that and hits some rapid fire offense to get Flair begging off. Invader keeps beating on Flair here with Flair taking a nice bump over the top rope on the wooden plank for a floor. Yeah we go to a break and come back with Invader having Flair in a figure-four with the crowd going nuts.....SHIT I hate these clips. The rest of the match was really fun and looking on Youtube I don't see a full version of this on there which fucking sucks. This would've been a nomination in full.

Hugo cuts a promo with Al Perez as he is working out talking about his feud with Invader.

Al Perez vs. "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas (September 1986)

This is basically a battle of who is stronger than the other which is funny considering that it's Al Perez against Tony Atlas. This is clipped up but I'm not complaining about it in this case as this match just wasn't doing it for me.

Then we get a video of Perez working out.

Next we get some WWC from 1983 which I've already seen.

Ric Flair © vs. The Invader

I didn't think the clipping hurt this that much though there is no telling how long it actually was. We got about eleven minutes, almost all of which was Invader on offense. Seriously I think Flair had maybe two or three offensive moves in the entire eleven minutes and they are all used to set up a spot for Invader. It was all well done, had good heat and to that end was effective, but this is your Flair stereotype match, and it also did not play to Invader's strengths at all. I did enjoy this, and would actually argue for it on the set but for two things - 1. I don't know how much we are missing and 2. The VQ is really bad for the last minute or so. If there is a better version of this out there and Boricua can tell us how much of this we are missing maybe. For now I will hold off on a nomination.

Al Perez v. Tony Atlas

This was exactly what you would expect an Al Perez v. Tony Atlas match to be. I"ll leave it at that.

REst is repeats or squashes

The only Youtube clip of this match is this one:

This clip starts with Flair having Invader 1 in the figure four. At 2:18 of the clip, Eliud Gonzalez makes the 10 minutes have elapsed time call. After the match ends, there are some indignant fans yelling at the ref that Flair used a foreign object.
