As of 9:55 PM tonight I am done with all the AWA. I wanna thank Khawk for being so awesome about getting these discs to me. On this last batch there are several discs I didn't do write ups for because there was nothing fresh on them. These discs should go out in the mail tomorrow to Kris. Depending on what Will's schedule is like with school it is entirely feasible we can have a match list done by June 1st.

I don't remember seeing it reviewed so I'll ask: Did you see the Donahue episode from 1981 with all AWA wrestlers on it, including some matches in a ring set up in the studio?

I'm doing a mail run tomorrow so I can send you a copy.

I also have a few other odds and ends you might want to check out for the project that I will include. Did all of the matches from March of 1984 during Jumbos tour as AWA Champion get reviewed?

I don't recall the Donahue thing offhand. Sounds like it would be good extra material, but that is something I don't have to watch right this second. We are trying to get the set out ASAP, and that is something that could safely be added to an EXTRA disc after the match list is finalized.

I don't know what Jumbo matches we would be missing. I saw a few of his tv squashes on this last batch and I know he worked Martel a couple of times. At this point unless it is something obvious that absolutely would/has to make the set I don't want to hold up the process for anything. We are already running behind and I don't want to extend things another few weeks. Worst case scenario if we are missing a key Jumbo match, we could add it to the matchlist at the end of the day.

The Jumbo stuff I'm thinking of is his bout against Blackjack Lanza (3/4/84, Chicago), vs. Robinson (3/11/84, Green Bay), vs. Brunzell (3/15/84, Salt Lake)...but it isn't just those ones, it's the other matches on those cards that were filmed and shown on Japanese TV from the noted venues...Blackjacks vs. Race/Bockwinkel, Patera/Blackwell vs. Crusher/Greg gagne, etc.

I have not looked back to see if those got reviewed, they may well have been. If they have not been reviewed, they need to be for this set.

The Donahue disc along with AWA Super Mix 43 (Stony Burke/Jeff Jarrett vs. The Nasty Boys from las Vegas), and a disc full of Martel stuff from Montreal when he was AWA champion and slightly before that are going out to you tomorrow. I dunno if any of the Martel stuff is eligible for the set but they are AWA title defenses. Worst case scenario, it can be passed along to the people reviewing the Canadian material for whenever that set gets going.

If the Japan-filmed stuff is needed I will peel that off tomorrow.

OK, so:

-donahue stuff to Will

-Martel Montreal stuff to will also...you may be able to use the St. Paul Hansen-Martel match and New Jersey Hansen-Martel switch for the set, if not you can pass along that disc to whoever is doing Canada when the time comes.

-AWA Super Mix 43 to will for that one match at the end I mentioned with the Nasty Boys and Jarrett/Burke

(those two discs are already copied so I may as well send them)

The rest of the Japan stuff I don't need to send or copy for anyone.

This goes out tomorrow.

...Dylan I would bet you did see Gagne/Crusher vs. The Sheiks given how much Blackwell you watched and noted earlier in the project. It is on on of my Blackwell comp discs. Just guessing.
