August 30, 201312 yr comment_5559427 Koloff vs. Invader could be from late 89 or 90. EDIT: Is it this match? If it is, then it is from the second day of Aniversario 89 from Mayaguez. The previous day they had a chain match (someone locally may have video of it, the show was transmitted on local PPV).
November 19, 201311 yr comment_5573287 Ivan Koloff v. Invader Yep, this is the one Boricua linked to above. First portion of this is some perfectly fine back and fourth. Nothing outstanding, but decent work from both guys. There is a clip after Ivan gains control and then it picks back up with Invader getting his ass beat on the floor where he was buried around a row of chairs Koloff dumped on him. Invader makes it back into the ring and rakes the bandaged face and eyes of Koloff before going for a quick fall. There was a stupid spot with Koloff trying to work a pin on a schoolboy over and over and then Invader steal a couple of near falls. Invader goes to work on the bandage with some punches and then rattles off a couple of more near falls before Koloff hits a desperation clothesline. The crowd is nuts here throwing tons of shit into the ring and Ivan is a bloody mess when Invader locks on a sleeper...as the match ends. I assume this was a time limit draw which means we are missing a huge chunk of it. Too bad, this was a flawed, but fun match.
November 20, 201311 yr comment_5573392 I wonder if the chain match from the previous day is available somewhere. There are a few matches from what appears to be the Aniversario 89 PPV broadcast on Youtube, so it's a possibility.
