The youtube link is above. This is about 16 and a half minutes of a roughly nineteen minute match so it is roughly complete. It starts with Jumbo in control and sort of goes from there so we probably miss nothing of real note. I was actually a bit surprised by this as while I would have no problem calling it a great match, it is much more "your turn, my turn" than I would have guessed. Still the momentum swings felt organic and there was plenty of excellent stuff. You could maybe quibble about Martel not selling the backdrop better or Jumbo targetting the leg and then just sort of giving up on it, but in a match like this neither thing felt "wrong." Really liked Martel's payback piledriver and the bump he took on the missed slingshot splash was pretty sick. Also really enjoyed Jumbo's escape of the Boston Crab and grumpy Jumbo fit in really well as an opponent of pretty boy Martel even playing into some of the staples of AWA heel behavior. Finish could have used a better ref, but there is no way this isn't going to make the set.
May 23, 201213 yr comment_5503473 I can send it to Will easily enough. Watching this match I felt like they took out 8-10 minutes of control segments and selling to get done in under 20 minutes. Maybe Jumbo and the rest of the Japanese contingent had an early flight back to Japan to catch (they were in for Super Clash I), who knows?

Jumbo punishes Martel early on but it really picks up when MArtel starts working on Jumbo's back and you feel like Martel will break Jumbo's back if he can turn that Boston Crab. For the next 8 minutes, the way the tides turn and you seriously have no idea who is going to win. I love how Jumbo just attakcs the knee after damaging with the figure four. The desparation body press gets the clean pin and yeah, this goes on the set with ease.
