Awesome moment as Jay actually takes the first fall with a nice sunset flip on Adonis. Adonis comes out for the second fall pissed and Jay is taking Adonis style spinning bumps off punches, as Adonis just tears into him. Great nearfall for Jay as he hits a sunset flip on Ventura, but Adonis makes the save. East West go ballistic and beat the shit out of the ref and hit a spike piledriver on Jay. Face locker room empties and Karbo comes out freaking out. EXTRA Sgt. Slaughter & Company Sgt. Slaughter recruiting video with Greg Gagne in boot camp. EXTRA Bobby Heenan 1 Finish of Kenny Jay v. Heenan with Jay getting his only tv victory when Zumhofe distracts Heenan. Heenan invites Buck into the ring but then sucker kicks him in the face and destroys his boom box. Martel Stan Hansen v. Rick Martel from Superclash Stan Hansen v. Rick Martel clip of title win for Hansen Blackwell #5 Jerry Blackwell/Sheik Adnan v. Brad Rheingans/Buddy Lane (2/3 Falls) JIP. VQ is pretty bad. Faces win the first fall after Rheingans rolls through on a bodyslam attack from Blackwell. Second fall features Rheingans getting thrown over the top to the floor. Then Lane eats a Samoan Drop. The ref starts chopping Blackwell and tries to whip him into the corner but gets an avalance splash. Heels end up destroying a bunch of people including a body slam and Blackwell splash on the floor to Greg Gagne. The Baron makes the save. Post-angle Blackwell does a good interview with Okerland who is indignant. Karbo comes over and announces he will give them the biggest fine in wrestling history. EXTRA AWA Digest 1/86 - 4/86 Wrestlerock Rumble music video! This is a lock as an EXTRA AWA Digest 8/86 - 11/86 Blaster debut. He burst through the wall during an interview segment and Nelson is hilarious freaking out. EXTRA AWA Legion of Doom 2 The Road Warriors v. Curt Hennig/Baron Von Raschke This was better than I would have guessed. Most of this is Curt in peril and he works it well. Baron gets the hot tag and locks on the claw and tags back out to Curt who ends up getting his neck caught up in the ropes. The Axe tries to help him out but the Warriors end up destroying him while he is tied up in the ropes. AWA Legion of Doom 3 Road Warriors song/video with Warriors singing themselves. Hilarious AWA Legends Bobby Heenan 1 Finish of Kenny Jay v. Heenan with Jay getting his only tv victory when Zumhofe distracts Heenan. The post-match stuff with the faces making the safe and Dusty firing a bloodied Blackwell up was pretty great. The Tito Santana-Sheik Kaissie sword angle from early 1981 TV should go on (AWA Bad Boys IIRC). Heenan selling Patera to Kaissie should go on(AWA Bad Boys or Heenan in the AWA discs). Brody vs. Blackwell Death match (Blackwell #8) with the epic Greg Gagne-Blackwell handshake and hug post-match should definitely go on. Mad Dog Vachon coming out during a Rene Goulet interview and sucker punching him, taking over his interview time, and claiming impatience while waiting for Verne Gagne to accept his invitation to partner up vs. the Sheiks (AWA 1983 TV Denver feed) should go on. The Interview with Jesse Ventura introducing Mr. Saito and Saito being ribbed with a super-thick board to try and put his head through should go on (Classic 1981 interviews). The Donahue show with the AWA guys from 1981 I sent Will should have some stuff that can go on it. The Saito-Hogan trophy presentation angle (Not sure of the disc but it happened in the fall of 1983) should go on. Rick Martel's bloody dressing room interview after a title defense against Buddy Roberts or Michael Hayes (can't remember which one offhand) should go on. Probably the best Martel interview I ever saw when he was AWA Champ. (Chicago Wresetling 84-85 IIRC) Martel submitting the title to Hansen (is this on the main set already?) should go on. High Flyers clip from Green Bay winning the tag titles from Ventura and Adonis (East-West Connection disc 1 or 2) should go on. Streetfight Battleroyal video from the Showboat circa 1987 should go on. (Dylan loves this one so it's porobably on his list too) More as I think of them. It's all together on the AWA Bad Boys disc. Also the Road Warriors winning the AWA Tag titles in Vegas on 8/25/84 should also be considered. Even the JIP end run that appeared on AWA TV would probably be enough.

The Mad Dog/Crusher vs. Studd/Blackwell match might also make a good extra in the sense that Mad Dog being out of wrestling and coming back to feud with Blackwell and Kaissie a year later was a focal point of AWA stories for some time. The Genesis of that feud might be worth including.

I'm assuming this is already in the extras of someone, possibly the most famous AWA interview of all time. Bockwinkel awarded the AWA title (May 1981) Verne Gagne (AWA Champion) vs. Nick Bockwinkel (2/20/81) Verne Gagne (AWA Champion) vs. Nick Bockwinkel (5/10/81) (AWA SMix4) (One of these two should be on in some form. Did 2/20 make the set?) Jimmy Snuka vs. Larry Zbyszko (Col. DeBeers interferes and piledrives Snuka.) (AWASMix10, in full on SMix 37 w/Japanese commentary.) The crazed fan coming at DeBeers with the chain is pretty surreal. Nick Bockwinkel (AWA World Champion) vs. Larry Zbyszko (non-title Texas Death match, St. Paul). 2:00, VG+ (AWA SMix 15) This match is short but extremely violent and I love it because Larry technically isn't cheating by clubbing everyone to death before the match begins since it is "Anything Goes". To have the match go like this after the ton of hype it got was stunning to everyone that saw it. Really good stuff here. High Flyers receive PWI TTOTY award before a TV squash (AWA SMix 16) I'd like to see this on there because I think very few people know they won that award. Super Destroyer II removes his mask during a TV interview with Gene Okerlund (2:30, AWA TV 3/1/80) (AWASMix 33) 5) Jerry Blackwell vs. Ron Ritchie (6:00, 1-13-80, St. Paul)(Steve O saves, crowd goes nuts. first angle with Blackwell) (AWASMix33) A really good look at how quickly Blackwell got over with the AWA fans as this happens inside his first month of being in the area. It also gives one a good idea of how over Steve O was at the time, which will likely stun a few folks. Bockwinkel vs. Wanz (8/29/82 title change) If nothing else, the end run of this and Heenan going ballistic after the match is awesome and should be on there.
