Dino Bravo/Rick Martel This starts out slow when Martel hits a really sharp looking O'Conner roll on Hawk for a great near fall with Martel flying off wildly when Martel powers out. Hawk goes to work on Martel's ribs, but Martel comes back with a really good looking cross body for another near fall. Bravo comes in and the crowd is really hot for the Hawk/Bravo test of strength which ends with Hawk eating a monkey flip which was a cool surprise. Bravo goes FIP as Animal comes in and hits his huge jumping elbow. Bravo does a cool power out spot, but gets cut down and Hawk takes over hitting his nice fist drop for a near fall. Bravo is a really good FIP here as they tease some nice comebacks, but the Warriors are on point with their cut off spots. Martel gets the tag in but almost immediately gets caught coming off the ropes with a press slam throat first on the top cable. The Roadies go for their off the ropes double clothesline spot but Bravo catches Hawk with a knee in the back off the rope. The credits start to role and chairs fly in the ring which the faces use as weapons as the match gets thrown out. This was a lot of fun and the finish was less screwjobish and more wild end to a "clash of the titans" style super main event for the territory. Jacques/Ray Rougeau v. Sailor White/Paul Lefebvre Same match from disc one. TV interviews Dino Bravo v. Jos Leduc This is incomplete. Bravo gets dq'ed for using a chain on Leduc. What is shown is okay but nothing special. Abdullah The Butcher v. Jacques Rougeau Abby fucking crushes Jacques with Creatchman's cane at the bell and goes straight to work. This is Abby so "straight to work" means he stabs jacques in the face a bunch. Jacques takes a bump to the floor and then a sick post shot. Rougeau is a bloody mess, stumbling around ringside and being held at bay by Abby every time he tries to get back in the ring. Jacques fighting back on lazy legs was pretty fun, but Abby quickly cut him off. Surprising spot as Jacques make a comeback with a suplex and then a huge splash for a near fall. Jacques goes up to the top, but Leduc comes out and ambushes him. With a better finish this might have made the cut, but without it nah. Still the post-match chaos with chairs being thrown into the ring by fans was shocking and a cool visual. Rick Martel Careless Whisper video. Perhaps the most homoerotic of all 80's videos Rick Martel v. Jumbo Tsuruta This is the Martel title win Jos Leduc v. Dino Bravo This has a cool atmosphere to it and a nice buzz in the building. I like Bravo fine as a face and I like Leduc, but the offense in this looks surprisingly weak. I did like Bravo's come back which also got big heat but then this ended as it was the same match with the chain finish from earlier. Eh. This was okay. Armand Rougeau/Gino Brito Jr. v. Paul Lefebvre/Frenchy Martin This is clips which is too bad. Lefebvre hits a fucking lunatic second rope piledriver on Armand. Shame this wasn't more complete. Rick Martel v. Jimmy Garvin Precious pre-match trolling of Martel is classic stuff. Garvin comes in with some quick cheapshot knees to Martel but that just pisses him off as he comes back with big babyface offense including some really nice dropkicks and an awesome looking delayed hurracanrana. Martel is crazy over and every time he takes back over off of a Garvin momentum swing the crowd pops huge. Garvin almost grinds this to a halt with a headscissors, but Martel comes back with some more hot offense and goes back to his armbar base. Cool stand up reversal from Garvin into a nice fireman's carry, but Martel takes right back over. Garvin twists himself into a pretzel to escape a Martel head scissors and goes to a leg lock. Garvin finally takes over with a sharp knee to Martel's gut as he was coming off the ropes and follows this up by tossing him to the floor. Martel is so over as a face that Garvin's really uninteresting offensive control segments don't ever get super boring. Cool spot with Martel setting up a comeback but just getting nailed with a clothesline as a cut off. Jimmy locks on a camel clutch and I start to cringe, but he just starts slapping Martel around in a really nasty looking way. They do a double head cracker off the ropes with Martel whiffing on a splash for another cool hope spot. Then Garvin hits possibly the worst looking falling headbutt I've ever seen. Garvin is absolute garbage in this, but it is still a good match because Martel is on his game. Precious distracts the ref and Martel takes a huge over the top rope bump. Garvin gets caught trying to lay the boots to Martel through the ropes and posted. Martel goes for another rana attempt, but Garvin drops down and cuts him off with a sick looking snake eyes bump on the turnbuckle. Garvin goes for a slam, but Martel shifts weight and pins him. Garvin keeps this from being a lock but it was a good match and a great example of one guy having to work with sub-dog shit and making a match quality on will alone. Jacques Rougeau v. Abdullah The Butcher JIP. Jacques is in control with a bloody Abby on his knees at Jacques feet. Jacques gets a hold of Abby's object and goes to work on him with it. Abby tries to cut him off, but Jacques hits a pseudo back drop and then a suplex. Jacques goes to the second rope and hits a dropkick for a near fall. Creatchman runs in as does Ray Rougeau and the match gets tossed. Shame we don't have this in full. Dino Bravo v. Sheik Ali JIP. Not a whole lot to this, but Ali really bumps his ass off for Bravo here. Ali gets DQ'ed for using an object slipped from Creatchman.
