Nick Bockwinkel vs. Curt Hennig (11/22/84) (Bock vs. Hennig 2) (Lame VQ)

Is this a Winnipeg match? I think the date is actually 2/7/85. I think I recall the screen caption saying it was 11/22/84 if it's the match I'm thinking of.

I do have this match on AWA Super Mix 18 in decent VQ but there is some audio issues due to the satellite sound flicking in and out when it was taped.

Ok. (For the record I didn't make that comp). Checking into it now.

I don't have the ESPN Classic Larry-Bock but I do have it complete on the TV in case it can't be found. It's decent quality but there's a track line present at the very bottom.

I can get it off the Larry Z vs. Bock comp. Not great VQ but it will do if we can't get the grea ESPN Classics VQ.

It's the same as on Super Mix 18. SM 18 is much better quality. Still has that satellite crackle and the odd audio drop out but it's still a lot better.

The correct date is 2/7/85.

Send it along!!!!

Just searched through my discs and the only one I have that you need is Blackwell #5.

Send it along!!!!

Greg Gagne-Bobby Heenan tv angle where heenan brains Gagne with a cast before their match starts, followed by the Weasel Suit match in St. Paul on IIRC August 17 1980. It's all together on the AWA Bad Boys disc.

The Tito Santana-Sheik Kaissie sword angle from early 1981 TV should go on (AWA Bad Boys IIRC).

Heenan selling Patera to Kaissie should go on (AWA Bad Boys or Heenan in the AWA discs).

Mad Dog Vachon coming out during a Rene Goulet interview and sucker punching him, taking over his interview time, and claiming impatience while waiting for Verne Gagne to accept his invitation to partner up vs. the Sheiks (AWA 1983 TV Denver feed) should go on.

The Interview with Jesse Ventura introducing Mr. Saito and Saito being ribbed with a super-thick board to try and put his head through should go on (Classic 1981 interviews).

The Saito-Hogan trophy presentation angle (Not sure of the disc but it happened in the fall of 1983) should go on.

Rick Martel's bloody dressing room interview after a title defense against Buddy Roberts or Michael Hayes (can't remember which one offhand) should go on. Probably the best Martel interview I ever saw when he was AWA Champ. (Chicago Wrestling 84-85 IIRC)

Martel submitting the title to Hansen (is this on the main set already?) should go on.

High Flyers clip from Green Bay winning the tag titles from Ventura and Adonis (East-West Connection disc 1 or 2) should go on.

Streetfight Battleroyal video from the Showboat circa 1987 should go on. (Dylan loves this one so it's probably on his list too)

Also the Road Warriors winning the AWA Tag titles in Vegas on 8/25/84 should also be considered. Even the JIP end run that appeared on AWA TV would probably be enough.

Bockwinkel awarded the AWA title (May 1981)

Verne Gagne (AWA Champion) vs. Nick Bockwinkel (2/20/81)

Verne Gagne (AWA Champion) vs. Nick Bockwinkel (5/10/81) (AWA SMix4)

Jimmy Snuka vs. Larry Zbyszko (Col. DeBeers interferes and piledrives Snuka.) (AWASMix10, in full on SMix 37 w/Japanese commentary.)

The crazed fan coming at DeBeers with the chain is pretty surreal.

Nick Bockwinkel (AWA World Champion) vs. Larry Zbyszko (non-title Texas Death match, St. Paul). 2:00, VG+ (AWA SMix 15)

This match is short but extremely violent and I love it because Larry technically isn't cheating by clubbing everyone to death before the match begins since it is "Anything Goes". To have the match go like this after the ton of hype it got was stunning to everyone that saw it. Really good stuff here.

High Flyers receive PWI TTOTY award before a TV squash (AWA SMix 16)

I'd like to see this on there because I think very few people know they won that award.

Super Destroyer II removes his mask during a TV interview with Gene Okerlund (2:30, AWA TV 3/1/80) (AWASMix 33)

5) Jerry Blackwell vs. Ron Ritchie (6:00, 1-13-80, St. Paul)(Steve O saves, crowd goes nuts. first angle with Blackwell) (AWASMix33)

A really good look at how quickly Blackwell got over with the AWA fans as this happens inside his first month of being in the area. It also gives one a good idea of how over Steve O was at the time, which will likely stun a few folks.

Bockwinkel vs. Wanz (8/29/82 title change)

If nothing else, the end run of this and Heenan going ballistic after the match is awesome and should be on there.

I need all of this!!!!!

Arrrrrrrgh. So much for getting it out tomorrow. I'll work on it when I can but I'm tied up Tuesday and Wednesday night so Thursday will likely be the first chance I have to get the rest done, and then sending it out Friday.

The first batch of needs is ready to go, however, but I should probably send it all together.

The only thing I've had trouble finding is a decent copy of Fabs vs. US EXpress (sending along a Lynch version and the ESPN Classics version, might be workable by your eye), and the Wrestlerock Rumble.

The following will be coming on two customs discs I did based on the initial needs list:

Nick Bockwinkel vs. Curt Hennig (11/22/84)

Crusher Blackwell & Ken Patera vs. Steve O & Buck Zumhofe (2/3 Falls) (4/15/84)

Mike Rotundo & Barry Windham vs. The Fabulous Ones (4/20/86) (Wrestlerock Lynch version and ESPN Classics Version)

Mr. Saito & Larry Zbyszko vs. Nick Bockwinkel & Greg Gagne (1/27/87)(this is about the same length as the version you have)

Jerry Blackwell & Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie vs. High Flyers (Cage Match) (4/18/82) (v301 Wrestling's Best Disc 1--source for Blackwell 5 copy)

Nick Bockwinkel © vs. Curt Hennig (12/25/86) (AWA Brawl in St. Paul) (WWE Classics on Demand)

Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Rick Martel (9/29/85) (Supermix 1)

Curt Hennig vs. Greg Gagne (6/12/88) (AWA 1988 TV disc 15)

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Col. DeBeers (Boot Camp Match) (12/13/88) (WWE 24/7 Superclash3 D1)

Nick Bockwinkel vs. Rick Martel (8/16/84) (AWA Super Mix #34: The AWA on World Pro Vol. 1)

Nick Bockwinkel vs. Larry Zbyszko (7/11/87) (AWA TV 10/27/87)

Rick Martel vs. Buddy Roberts (Chicago 5/25/85, JIP), which segues into the bloody dressing room promo from Martel that I like so much and think could be an extra (Chicago Wrestling TV 2/85 - 7/85)

Michael Hayes announced as AWA Champion and interviewed with the belt and other Freebirds in tow in the dressing room as Champ until the promoter comes in and takes the belt on a reverse decision (You might like this one so I threw it on there. Couldn't fit the match clip on the disc, though) from 6/19/85, Chicago

The VQ is better on all the ones you wanted in better VQ with the possible exception of the Fabs match from Wrestlerock, but the ESPN Classics version might be better. Just remember to edit the commercials out...

The following matches are being sent on the full discs they appear on:

Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens vs. Greg Gagne & Curt Hennig (6/13/85) AWA Super Mix 20

Nick Bockwinkel & Mr. Saito vs. Curt & Larry Hennig (11/8/84) (AWA Super Mix 20)

Nick Bockwinkel vs. Curt Hennig (11/21/86) Bock's WWE 24/7 HOF Disc 3

Let me know when you can what you can't find on the list you put out for extras today if possible. I may have time to work on it tonight as there is a good chance my plans will change and I will end up at home.

From the "Top 150" thread:

The match labelled 11/22/84 is also from Winnipeg. Further research on Claw site dates it as 6/14/84...that is the one I am sending the upgrade to Will on (I thought it was 2/7/85).

So I missed they had an earlier 1984 encounter...11/22 will have to be re-labelled 6/14. There was no 11/22 card in Winnipeg. The 11/84 card was on the 8th and featured Blackwell-Brody, and Bock-Saito vs. The Hennigs...probably the tag team battleroyal as well since Bundy was on that card.

What disc did the 2/7/85 match come from? I'd like to check it out to get it fresh in my head. I'm assuming the VQ is ok?

Too many Bock-Hennig matches for even me to keep straight, lol...
