Really dug his hot tag. Figure a certain number of Foundation matches will make the set, and this is a fun variation of what they do.
June 11Jun 11 comment_6031145 Hart Foundation vs. Corporal Kirschner & Dick Slater (MSG 12/26/86) The Union & Confederacy have joined forces to fight Canada! The HF gets stooged on the outside in a fun atomic drop spot. Kirschner starts out for the face team & quickly gets in trouble. Good double team offense from the HF. Bret throws a great dropkick. Slater gets an early hot tag & looks awesome. Great punches & a sweet back elbow. Slater gets worked over & we have a double FIP. Solid stuff from the HF including their backbreaker/elbow combo. Slater dives in between Bret & Anvil on a rope running sequence & lands on their outstretched arms causing them to collide heads. Awesome spot. Slater escapes them once more & makes the tag to Kirschner. The Corporal’s hot tag isn’t as good as Slater’s but solid enough. The HF put out the fire pretty quickly though & hit a VICIOUS Hart Attack on Kirschner for the win. Phil originally nominated this & Slater is indeed very good. I like the HF here too & the finish looked nasty. MIDDLE NOMINATION
June 21Jun 21 comment_6031561 I really liked the early part with Slater chasing Anvil and the Corporal was effective in peril. I actually thought the Harts were a little more vicious here than the Bees match I watched. Great in between the legs hot tag but Slaters offense continues to not impress. I'm also not a fan of chin lock Bret. I may or may not have seen the Harts do the double clothesline noggin knocker but it made for an effective hot tag. Hart zattack ending was refreshing in a sea of DQs and countouts. I really enjoyed this match. SOLID NOMINATION
