Nutty brawl which had chair shots, belt shots, Adonis bulldogging Piper on the ramp and more. Adonis's wild bumping was fun here as he even missed a superfly splash. Hart was also great waterbugging around the ringside. Piper gets perfume in the eyes and is really great at doing blind man selling. Crowd was molten too. Face Piper is the fucking goods.
July 2, 201213 yr comment_5508775 Piper is a massive stock going up for me guy over the course of the last few years. This match is even better if you watched it right after the Piper Celebrity Ghost Stories episode where he claims Adrian Adonis is his guardian angel. Edit: No clue why I didn't add more to this, but I think this is a slam dunk and liked this even more than the Orndorff brawl. This was not only a great performance from Piper (who was actually a really good face in peril), but also from Adonis and Jimmy Hart. All the "Jimmy runs interference" spots were well executed and believable. Adonis took some typically crazy Adonis bumps. Piper's over the top selling and facial expressions fit this really well. Crazy belt shots, blinding spritzer spots, a nasty chairshot, Hart posting himself, Adonis burying Roddy under the guardrail, a bulldog on the ramp way, Adonis eating knees nastily off a top rope splash, Piper starting the match by throwing the kilt in Adrian's face and cheap shotting him. No wasted moments in this and an absolute blast of a brawl. I want to see all of the Piper babyface "retirement" tour in the lead up to Mania III now
July 7, 201213 yr comment_5509511 This was a tremendous brawl with an excellent heat segment. Adrian's bumping was superb in this. Roddy was great at blind selling. My favorite spots were Adrian burying Roddy with the guardrail, Adrian splashing Roddy's knees in violent fashion, the bulldog on the ramp, and the vicious belt shots early. Jimmy getting involved and tossed around was great too. EASY NOMINATION
August 4, 201213 yr comment_5511866 I loved this. BAd ending but it did have one of the most believable ref bumps I have seen. I loved them strapping the shit out of each other. I loved the use of the chair. I loved Adrian's liberal use of the perfume. Just great stuff all around. EASY NOMINATION
