Wild No-DQ match which was all action from the bell. Hogan comes out in Kamala face paint, and they rip into each other. Lots of athletic bumping by Kamala and big chops. We even see Hogan fire back with some chops. Hogan is constantly bailing out of the ring to waylay King Curtis and Kim Chee. Hogan makes his comback by throwing powder in Kamala's face. Really neat brawl, one of the better 80's Hogan matches I have seen. Slam Dunk

Agree with Phil. This may be the best bell-to-bell Kamala match I have ever seen. My favorite part of the match was when Hogan missed an elbow drop. Kamala attacks and works the arm... like a savage. He Kamala chops the arm and bites the arm to continue the damage. Would have been in my Top 20 without question if the blood was flowing. Maybe they have another house show match in them with some blood flow. Also, Hogan was giving some Stemaboat level chops that made Kamala's fat jiggle. EASY NOMINATION.

This was TREMENDOUS. It is easily the best Kamala match I've ever seen. I agree with Will too. If the blood was flowing this shit would have been an even bigger gem. Also, it smokes the cage match and I thought that was nomination worthy. Both guys were excellent at just beating the shit out of each other. I loved Hogan unraveling his tape and using it as a choking and I swear whipping device at one point. Kamala working on the arm with his teeth and chops after Hulk missed an elbow fucking ruled. Hulk uses powder and beats the shit out of Kim Chee and King Curtis then does the usual to get the win. EASY NOMINATION

Excellent match. On first watch it felt like the best Kamala match I've ever seen and a top five Hogan match. Both guys are just excellent at their role here. Kamala ambushing Hogan and belting him out the gate was awesome and all of Kamala's offense came across really violent, but also fitting his gimmick. I also loved the way both guys sold in this. Hogan was great with his visual reaction on the missed elbow and Kamala was great when he tumbled to the floor and with his body language on the big slam spot. Both guys were just milking the shit out of everything here as this had minimal weaponry by modern standards, but the set up for everything was so fucking awesome that it felt like the biggest thing in the World. My only minor complaint would be that I actual thought this could have gone on another three or four minutes. Still an awesome match.

I really didn't want this match to stop. I've been waiting for the "great Kamala singles match" and this is finally it. Really great Hogan performance, too. Loved his clothesline and overhand chop, really loved Kamala's standing superkick and him being a godless savage biting Hogan (cue Will whining that Hogan didn't blade his arm). Easy nomination.

For what it's worth, I watched about half a dozen other Hogan/Kamala matches and the Toronto cage match is the only other match that comes close. The 12/86 Boston match is the best of their straight matches.
