The crowd for this was unreal. This is the title switch where Strike Force win the belts. The match starts at a fast pace with Martel throwing some high flying offense at Bret. Tito comes in and has an exchange with Anvil but gets kneed in the back by Bret. HF work on Tito's back for the remainder of the match and it's pretty low key body part work but Tito makes it work. Martel's hot tag and the finish is what sets this match apart though. The crowd literally erupts when Anvil taps to the Boston Crab. The pop for that was one of the best I've ever heard. Ultimately, this was a fun tag that I could see on a set.
October 5, 201410 yr comment_5631310 I'm going no on this. Tito's selling carried the body of the match, along with Bret's psychology. The shine didn't get enough time. Martel's hot tag was great, but was too quick. The match felt rushed or maybe underdeveloped might be the right word. Anvil at times seemed out of place at times.
June 3Jun 3 comment_6030701 Hart Foundation vs. Strike Force (WWF Superstars 11/7/87) (Taped 10/27/87) - The Harts do not have the same dynamic offense as the Islanders. Tito gets beat up and the Harts keep the ring cut in two. There’s a little too much Anvil for my tastes. It doesn’t matter because the fans are so excited they are getting a legit title contest on a TV taping. Tito whips Bret into the turnbuckle and Bret goes chest first. Martel with the hot tag. The crowd pop is LOUD! Strike Force do a double body slam and Martel hooks in the Boston Crab. Neidhart gives up. The crowd is going crazy for a title change. At the very least, this is an EXTRA. I would go MIDDLE NOMINATION.
