I really enjoyed this, it was worked as a Southern tag, with the Moondogs cutting off Martell and kicking the shit out of him. The Moondogs really know how to lay it in, and they build to the hot tag nicely and Garea was great. Match ends with a DQ as the Moondogs bloody up Garea with the bone and we have a fun 4-way brawl. Liked this a lot and it set up the Texas Death nicely

Garea and Martel make a real good baby face tag team. The Moondogs are a good bruising tag team that know how to work the gimmick. I like the fact that the easiest way to tell the difference between the teams is that one of them is a southpaw. Martel and Garea do some fun leg work. I also thought the early stooge spots by the Moondogs was done well. Martel is so damn smooth in their. His FIP work was excellent. It looked like they were building to a hot finish. Instead we get a DQ. I enjoyed the match, but wouldn't fight to include it on the set.

WWF World Tag Titles: Tony Garea & Rick Martel © vs. The Moondogs (King & Rex) (1/10/81)

The action was good at the start as the faces worked over Rex's left arm and he was good at selling and bumping for them. Garea would work as FIP taking a pounding from the Dogs before getting the tag to Martel who comes in a house of fire before the Dogs start working him over allowing Martel to show his great skills of working FIP. Martel got his left arm ravaged by the Dogs and he was selling like crazy but still got the tag to Garea who was fired up taking on both Dogs by himself after he helped Martel out of the ring. Martel left for the locker room as the crowd went nuts for Garea taking on both Dogs which worked out for a little bit before the numbers game caught up to him and he was getting destroyed until Martel came back with his arm bandaged up and grabbed the Dogs' bone using it on them for the DQ. The champs then are interviewed by Dick Graham & Kal Rudman afterwards and they want revenge next month. The comeback spots were good and the Martel ending angle was good but the match was wasn't anything out of this world. Not a nomination but good for what it was.
