Climax wrestling in a shirt with suspenders drawn on is weird and distracting at first, but he's pretty solid once you get past that. Watching this match, Mocho Cota really comes across as a serious "Stock Going Up" kind of guy. I mean, I always liked him from the little I had seen before this project, and this isn't even his best match, but it is a match that he pretty much makes. And I liked pretty much everyone in this, but I don't know if I see myself nominating this without his performance. With it, I feel pretty comfortable doing so. He gets to do a little bit of everything in this match, and he's great at all of it. He has a slick matwork section with Climax at the beginning, is a ton of fun taunting Mil and then bumping off of his power stuff, he gets to beat on El Indio, including a sucker punch that's to die for, works in some great rudo shtick...it's a great opportunity to see the full complement of talents he possessed. Colosetti was fun as the heavy of the rudos, and played off of Cota well. Climax, Indio, and Tristero were all spry, solid, and ate beatings well. Mil was not at his best here. He spent most - though not all - of this match working as a smaller, more athletic Andre, but he was not nearly as interesting as actual Andre, never mind Andre when he was athletic. Still, he wasn't a total load, either. The rudos all worked around his stuff well, and he was willing to take his lumps when the time came. Either way, it's worth it for the Cota.
