Some good amateur stuff early before Sheik goes flying into the New York old men cronies at ringside pissing them off as he probably landed on their cigars and scotch. I loved Larry's wrenching headlock as he tried to pull his head off his body. Very fun criss cross rope running spot with both men movin and groovin before Larry got Sheiky back down with a hip toss. Sheiky would hit a fucking sweet dropkick on Larry as he ran the ropes before going for a fucking SOMERSAULT SENTON which Larry rolled away from. Larry would go for an abdominable stretch which Sheiky would reverse in a cool way. Sheiky would go on offense by just pounding on Larry who sold well for this before getting a great desperation sunset flip for a nearfall. Both men would crack heads before Sheik hit a big suplex for a nearfall but as he went for another Larry rolled under with an inside cradle for a nearfall. This led to Sheiky trying to hit Larry with his loaded boot but failed as Larry slammed him but on the pin attempt he threw Larry on the referee. Sheiky would then further fuck up by dropping an elbow on the referee by accident causing him to be DQed. Shitty finish but this was a damn fun sprint here with both guys looking pretty damn solid especially Zbyszko who was quite the worker at this time. Low-end nomination.
July 9, 201213 yr comment_5509699 I liked this. These two did a whole bunch of cool shit and sold it all in under ten minutes. Sheik attempting a goddamn somersault senton in the WWF in 1980 was tremendous. The spot of the match was Sheik's awesome dropkick that might have killed Larry Z. The finish was disappointing but still this was a great sprint. LOW END NOMINATION
July 10, 201213 yr comment_5509788 This was fun, although I imagine there is a ton of these kind of fun undercard sprints. I imagine we are going to have a bunch of 10 minute sprints with good action, I could see this kind of thing making the set because of novelty, but also would have no problem leaving it on the floor. I really want to check out more Larry Z.
July 28Jul 28 comment_6032886 Larry Zbyszko vs. The Great Hossien Arab (MSG 1/21/80) Sheik gets on the house mic to yell at the crowd after thr ing intros. Vince makes not of the controversial footwear as the bell rings. There's some nice mat exchanges early on but this feels like what woukd be the first part of a long match. You get a Sheik dropkick and an attempted somersault senton onto Zbyszko. There's some nice counters here but between the pace (I see the others call it a sprint but I don't see it as such) and the finish (cute but a letdown) I go no nomination.
