This was a very good WWF style tag match. Haku and The Hammer's exchanges were really stiff. The Islanders did some really cool leg work on Valentine. Tama did a good job at FIP in this and took a couple of really great bumps. Beefcake wasn't all that interesting but Valentine did a solid job of working over Tama. The hot tag was good and Haku stiffed Beefcake and Valentine. I liked the finish as Tama hit Valentine with a high cross body at the time limit resulting in a draw. This isn't a phenomenal match by any standards but a very good tag nonetheless.

This holds up & then some. Haku hits an awesome knee lift on Valentine in the face shine. Tama is a GREAT FIP. The Hammer gives Tama a KNEE DROP PILEDRIVER. Hell yeah. The Dream Team work over Tama's knee some. They use good heel tag tricks to distract the ref. Hammer gets Tama in the figure four & Haku has enough & STOMPS GREG IN THE THROAT. Holy shit. Haku's hot tag gets a quieter crowd to go apeshit & Tama hits an INCREDIBLE cross body that CRUSHES Valentine's face at the buzzer.

EASY NOMINATION

The first ten minutes were. Mixed bag for me. I thought Halu was surprisingly active working the arm and that was the strategy that was more entertaining. I thought the leg work got a little long in the tooth. Both islanders catching Hammers leg at different times was "cute" and they made Greg pay. The wishbone looked nasty as a groin pull. The rest was wasting time in my view. Hammer hits Tonga with the back elbow to send him flying outside to turn the tide. Once inside, Beefcake tags in and Tonga is in peril. Beefcake hubris (strutting when tagged, carrying Tonga around but no hooking a hold, counting 3 before pinning) needs to pay off. It didn't. I loved the hot tag and final run. An atomic drop into a flying cross body is a great finisher that should have put Beefcake away. Time limit draw and Tonga asks for 5 minutes. I loved large parts of this but a few things bothered me as noted above. SOLID NOMINATION.
