The first fall here was really carried by Buddy's underneath work. Boyd is really over and has some good stuff, but also can grind a match to a halt when he wants to. Here he has Buddy bumping and selling the fuck out of everything for him. Really love the way Buddy took his big forearms and punches and I loved Boyd busting him open with a bite which Buddy had done to him in their previous tv match. Boyd finishes him off with the diving knee in the first fall.

 

Start of the second fall is classic as the Portland fans narc out Buddy for having a foreign object and Sandy Barr takes it from him and tosses it in the crowd. Then Rose takes his tape and tucks it in the back of his tights. Barr goes to check the turnbuckle thinking that was the object of Buddy's cheating and Rose ambushes Boyd with the tape and kicks the shit out of him. Boyd fires up and beats on Buddy before chucking him over the top which Buddy takes a big bump for. Buddy rakes the eyes and tries to take off but Boyd drags him back by his trunks. Really loved Boyd going for another win with the diving knee and Buddy just barely getting out of the way. This becomes one legged Boyd trying to tough it out, with Buddy going back to the leg every time Boyd tries to make a run. Rose takes the second fall with a pretty sick half crab with his leg sunk into the back of Boyd's knee joint.

 

Start of the third fall is fun as Rose is desperate to get at Boyd's knee and Boyd is fighting against it with positioning and fisticuffs. Rose ends up locking on a toehold and then going to rolling leg snaps but over rotates and Boyd ends up posting his leg. Boyd grabs a ringside fans cane and Rose books it as a police officer in a yellow shirt with a cigar hanging out of his mouth stalks around ringside. Boyd wins via countout.

 

The previous match between these two was just painfully long though I enjoyed the ending run of every fall. This didn't have the problems of that match and I really liked the psychology of it.
