The opening stuff here is really great work from Borne and Rose who are great acting befuddled for the "dazzling" offense of Rocky Johnson. Heels have enough and take Rocky down and focus on his leg. There is one really great cut off spot and they end up posting his legs and submitting him with a spinning toehold.

Back in the second fall they try to go back to the leg but Rocky is able to get Parsons end to make a run. This fall felt sort of even steven, but not in a bad way. The second rope ends up breaking and Rocky uses it as a weapon to turn the tide. The roll up coming after the dropkicks was a good finish for the fall.

The third fall opens with Buddy and Rocky playing "cross this line" miming spots, before Rose flies into Borne on a drop down rope running spot for a huge pop. Really loved Rocky's slugfest spot with Borne as they were decking each other and this led to both Borne and Rose taking huge bumps to the floor. Parsons gets isolated and eats a Buddy dropkick among other things. Rocky gets the hot tag and Rose bumps huge for his dropkick and then locks in the sleeper. Mike Masters hits the ring and the match gets tossed.

This is not a guaranteed match for the set, but I liked the way Borne/Rose stooged and this should be considered.

I agree this was probably the best version of Buddy and partner vs. Johnson and Parsons, at least from this little run. I enjoyed Buddy and Borne overreacting to Rocky's strutting and flipping around and the way they flipped the switch to win the first fall by submission. I loved the moment when the ropes broke and Rocky immediately ran in the ring to attack Buddy with the collapsed turnbuckle. They reset the match a bit too completely to start the third fall, but I can't complain that much given the fun cross-the-line schtick between Rocky and Buddy. This was certainly better than the Johnson/Parsons title win from the previous week and I'll back the nomination.
