Posted July 18, 201213 yr comment_5510499 DISC #5 11/22/80 - COMPLETE SHOW 1:27 Destroyer - Eric Embry (Boyd attackes Rose during intros) Tiny Anderson - Sivi Afi Rose's Army Int Boyd/Youngblood/Lightfoot/Sawyer - Rose/Oliver/Destroyer/Cortez 2/3 Destroyer vs. Eric Embry - This was mostly Destroyer clubbering on Embry with a teased rallies to break it up. It went on too long for what it was. Tiny Anderson vs. Sivi Afi - I'm not sure I've seen Anderson before. He was fat guy who didn't really know how to work like a fat guy. Afi never seeend in danger of losing. They did some Samoan hard-head spots. I don't know; I"m struggling to think of anything noteworthy. Boyd/Youngblood/Lightfoot/Sawyer vs. Rose/Oliver/Destroyer/Cortez - They worked a fast pace, but the falls were more one-note than typical Portland. The faces dominated the entire first fall, with a run of Sawyer offense the highlight. The heels worked over Lightoot for most of the second, and he was a less compelling bottom than Youngblood. The third fall existed mainly to set up a miscommunication spot that led to the Army losing and turning on Cortez. The angle at the end was fine, but the match felt tossed off and never sucked me in.
