The actual date on this is 9/22/84. Captain Lou cuts a fun promo before the match. Sarge ruled in this. The match was extremely chaotic with tons of shit going on but that fits with North/South better than anything else to me. Captain Lou kept leaving ringside and trying to leave the match. The crowd was absolutely insane during the entire match. Adonis and Murdoch bumped wildly for the Samoans and Sarge but it didn't last as long as usual. Sarge was a tremendous FIP in this. Adonis and Murdoch beat the living shit out of him with a microphone and there was some really great fist fighting going on between Sarge and Murdoch. The Samoans were totally all over the place in this but it really made the chaotic feel more entertaining and better. Afa did some FIP and wasn't bad then made the hot tag to Sarge who was awesome cleaning house. Sarge and Sika torpedoed Murdoch into Adonis who was caught in the ropes. That ruled. Murdoch took some bumps for a few minutes and Sarge put Captain Lou in the Cobra Clutch. Albano ran from the ring to the back and Sarge went after him. Adonis and Murdoch were in control on the Samaons when Sarge came back and body pressed Murdoch off the top rope to a massive pop for the face win. This match was loads of fun and had some really intense and chaotic FIP segments.

This is a solid nomination. My one complaint about the match is that it dragged a bit at the finish. I loved the opening shine/stooging segment. It was built around the Samoans heads and it was bad ass. Slaughter's FIP was great. Him taking the hot tag was great as well. Albano was quite the character in this match. When Murdoch ran over to tag him in and Albano ran away from it was great.

-    Sgt. Slaughter Interview / Dick Murdoch & Captain Lou Albano Interview
-    Adonis tentative but Afa and the faces pile up on the Samoans. The North South have to regroup. Sarge goes after Albano who hightailed it out of there. The Samoans have no shortage of fun offense against North South. They do the same double headbutt stuff from the Philly match and Luo tags in when the enemy is injured and runs out when they recover. Great stuff. Slaughter goes after Albano allowing the heels to triple team Sarge. The crowd has been loud non-stop. Great atmosphere. Adonis had Goodnight Irene on Sarge but Sika saved. Murdoch and Slaughter is a singles match I wish we had. Adonis gets a 2nd rope elbow and they Samoans break it up again. This has been a great match mixed in with a little bit of Albano gaga. Afa ends up in peril and Adonis hits an elbow on him for 2. Super splash form Adonis misses and he is hurt but still able to tag Murdoch. Sgt. Slaughter gets the hot tag and the crowd is so freaking loud. Adonis gets caught in the ropes so Sika and Sarge pick Murdoch up and use him as a battering ram into the helpless Adonis. AWESOME SPOT. Sika gives Murdoch repeated headbutts for a nearfall and the garden is out of control. Sika delivers the headbutts to Adonis and the Samoan use their heads to batter the North-South. They end up tagging in Albano who is helpless. Sarge cobra clutch on Albano but Adonis saves. Albano tags a helpless Murdoch who finally comes in against Slaughter. Albano runs away so Slaughter chases him. The Samoans and North-South all fight it out. Adonis was setting Sika up for a double team with Murdoch coming off the top but Afa headbutts Adonis from behind and Adonis collapses. Slaughter comes back, slams Murdoch form the top and gets the three count. Logic aside, this was an AWESOME SIX MAN. Action packed, zero rest, insane crowd, hot finish, fun gaga, big moments. EASY NOMINATION.
