VQ - Okay to Good

1. Roddy Piper/Paul Orndorff vs. Jimmy Snuka/The Tonga Kid

Good match. Piper cut a solid promo before the match making fun of Fiji Island women. Piper and Orndorff stooged to start the match. This face shine segment was fun and had the usual goofy Piper shtick. Tonga was FIP in this. He did a fair job even as he's still extremely green during this time period. There were a couple of good cut off spots especially one where Piper cut him off with a nasty knee lift. Piper continued to taunt Snuka who was on the apron the whole match. It backfired on him when Tonga jumped over his back to tag Snuka while Piper was in the middle of taunting Snuka. That was pretty great. Snuka cleaned house but the match ended soon after. Piper and Orndorff found chairs to incapacitate both guys and they got disqualified for it. Orndorff really wailed on Tonga with the wooden chair he had in possession. Piper joined Orndorff in the post-match assault on Tonga. Snuka came back in the ring with an another chair and ran them out before anymore damage could be done. This had some good and some eh stuff. Tonga was too green and Snuka didn't bring the best example of emotions running high. Piper and Orndorff tried but couldn't get much out of the faces.

Final Analysis

This could have possibly been better with a more chaotic feel. The Piper-Snuka feud has been very underwhelming aside from the MSG match and angle.
