Extremely fun match that was also legitimately very good. Bellomo's family was in attendance and they were announced to the crowd. Orndorff Pearl Harbored Bellomo before their gear was off and they brawled in their gear. Tremendous. Orndorff had the advantage until Sal came back with a cross body for a near fall. Bellomo did a great bump off a back body drop in this as well as another awesome bump to the floor onto ring side chairs. Sal worked over Orndorff's leg for a good portion of this and did some good work on it. Orndorff sold it well. The finishing run ruled with Sal coming back into the ring after getting tossed out and locked in a sleeper and the crowd went insane. He even blocked the fucking pile driver which ruled. Eventually though, Orndorff caught Bellomo with a nasty clothesline then hit an awesome pile driver for the win. This was a fucking fun ass match and was actually very good too.

I am not sure if this will hold up on a second watch, or if it really has a huge chance of being on the set, but this absolutely deserves consideration. Really a fun and spirited performance from both guys. I am a huge mark for brawling sections at the beginning of matches where both guys still have their gear on, so this got started the right way and only got better. Paul's aggressive offense was fun early and Bellemo was really fun in this too. He took a huge back body drop bump and got a really great hope spot near fall off of a crossbody. I was shocked at how giving Orndorff was here, as he ended up getting his knee worked over by Sal and was on the defensive for a big chunk of the match. The sleeper spot was great, as was Sal's block of the piledriver. Then Orndorff crushed him with a piledriver when he was tired of putting up with this shit. This was like a really good WCW Pro or Worldwide match and is a really neat find if nothing else.

Enjoyed watching this, both guys played their roles well. The crowd being behind Bellomo really adds to the match, they dont want him failing in front of his family. Some nice bumps and maneuvers by Bellomo. Definitely something worth watching but the highest I'd go is on the bubble for consideration and it likely would be one of the first things cut.

PAUL ORNDORFF vs SALVATORE BELLOMO (06/16/1984; WWF MSG; New York, NY; 00:10:41)
-    Orndorff attacks with his robe still on. He just kicks his ass. Then Orndorff misses a knee drop and Sal kicks his leg out from underneath him. The crowd is as loud as it has ever been with Sla working the leg of Orndorff. ORNODORFF WITH AN ENZIGUIRI!!!! It stops the rally dead in its tracks. Orndorff limping. Sal isn’t done. He dropkicks Paul but still gets thrown out of the ring. Sal comes back, he runs at Orndorff, leaps on his back and gets a sleeper. The crowd went ballistic! Orndorff rams him to the corner. Oh shit, it looked like Orndorff botched a piledriver but it was actually Sal using his legs to kick off of the turnbuckle to prevent the piledriver and get a 2 count. AWESOME. Orndorff is pissed, gives Sal a running bomber. He calls for the piledriver and spikes Sal dead. This was an AWESOME match on a card with 2 of the best matches of all time. EASY NOMINATION! NO HYPERBOLE!

I really want to know what time I posted the original review because I completely overlooked this match. I was about to overlook it this time too until the Garden erupted when Sal kicked the leg. I might use a personal pick on this. IT completely blew me away the second time around.
