Rick Rude vs. Roddy Piper (Cage Match) (MSG 12/28/89)
-    This is the match that made me a Rick Rude fan. It took me awhile to appreciate Piper but this was a first step. Rude tries to escape right away but Piper is whipping him with a belt and you can hear the strikes. Damn. Rude climbs again and Piper just throws him down… then rams him into the cage. Rude comes up bloody and sees Piper trying to escape. So he crotches Piper on the top rope. This is still brutal. Great struggle as Rude tries crawling out but Piper holds on for dear life to get him back in. Piper doesn’t stay in control long as Rude hits the Rude Awakening out of nowhere. Hot Rod prevent shim form getting out and they end up both down on a noggin knocker. The battel on top was a great visual and it looks like they both hit the floor at the same time so they have to go back in but this gives them a chance to brawl on the floor. Rude looks like he is leaving but climbs the cage and leaps from the top and hits the knee drop! It only gets two! Rude hits a piledriver and climbs to the top again and gets crotched! Rude gets stuck up on the top and Piper walks ou… nope Heenan slams the door in his face. Rude climbs down and only gets two!  Heenan passes brass knux to Rude who drops them and Piper grabs them and blasts Rude. Roddy climbs out and wins the match. SLAM DUNK NOMINATION
EDIT: This finished #30 but will probably end up in my Top 5-10. I loved every single minute of this.
