Incredible match. This was a fucking WAR. Both guys just beat the living shit out of each other. Tito opened the match with extremely violent forearms and rammed The Hammer's head into the turnbuckle followed by a face plant bump by Valentine. There was some really great but basic mat work with pin attempts throughout the match. Valentine took a tremendous bump to the floor through the bottom rope. Eventually, The Hammer worked on Tito's leg. This ruled big time. There was one spot where he put all of his weight on Tito's bad leg and attempted a pin. That was fucking awesome. Tito got a nice comeback and was dragging his leg and selling everything tremendously. Valentine got atomic dropped and he took a really great front first bump into a turnbuckle. Tito then worked on Greg's leg a little bit and even attempted his own figure four which was cool. Then the violence kicked in. These motherfuckers started laying waste to one another. There was one spot where Greg was just viciously assaulting Tito in the face with all kinds of violent strikes. Tito wouldn't go down so The Hammer just headbutted the living shit out of him to knock him down. I mean it was one of the sickest headbutts I've ever seen. The finish to this was fucking tremendous. Valentine whipped Tito into the ropes for a big move but Tito knocked him the fuck out with an unbelievably violent flying forearm to the face unprotected which caused The Hammer to take an insane bump through the ropes and to the floor. Valentine almost got back in the ring but couldn't quite beat the ten count. Tito won by count-out but there was no title change. This is probably a top 5 and definitely top 10 contender. I mean this was a fucking violent affair. It's quite possibly the best match I've ever seen from both guys careers.

Tremendously great match, to the point where I could see this as someones number one. Tito is just so great at these sort of hard hitting, hate filled fights and that is also Valentine's bread and butter. Still this was on a whole nother level. Both guys were just crushing each other with forearms, punches, et all match. Greg's leg work was simple for the most part, but extremely effective. The spot with him going for a cover and laying all of his weight on Tito's leg was fucking awesome. Tito hit one great flying forearm early on which Greg was able to survive. This match has such a great ebb and flow and both guys were selling the fuck out of exhaustion/getting their asses kicked, but in a way that allowed them to come up for big spots. Devon is right about the Valentine headbutt. Totally vicious shot that looked like it killed Tito. The finish was also really great as there were several awesome bumps in this, but Valentine's tumble to the floor was the best and totally believable as a knockout blow, with the countout really well milked for maximum effect. This is no worse than a top ten match. Probably top five.

(HANDHELD) TITO SANTANA vs GREG VALENTINE (01/05/1985; WWF Boston Garden; 00:24:49)
-    Valentine tries not to engage but when Tito gets him, he just beats the shit out of him. Punches to the face, kicks to the face. I have never seen such a struggle for a face front lock pin before. Nice. When Hammer regroups, he attacks the throat on the apron, dropping elbows, standing on Tito’s neck. This is great. Tito hits Hammer low to buy some time. Another punch sends Hammer out of the ring through the bottom rope. After some stiff shots, Hammer controls with a chin lock but the opposite of a Cena STF So snug. Tito breaks out and they do the dueling atomic drop spot. They battle back and forth and Hammer finally gains control and works the legs. He jumps and drives his knees into the hamstrings. They do the bridging pin attempt spots. These guys are fighting for everything. Damn, Hammer trying to get the figure 4 on. Tito kicks him but he holds the leg. Usually he goes flying into the corner. They go to the similar spot from last match where Tito punches the leg and then Hammer pulls him down during the figure 4 attempt. Tito hits the burrito for a 2 count. Hammer elbow. Two. Shoulder breaker. Two. Each guy reversing a flip pin. Another elbow drop. Two. Tito hits the burrito, knocking Hammer out of the ring for the count out. Of course, this is an EASY NOMINATION BUT there were similarities with the 11/84 match. Now, I need to compare it to the MSG match from this month.
