Ron Garvin vs. Mr. Perfect (WWF Nashville TV taping 12/12/89)
-    The Genius gives a poem before the match. EXTRA.
-    Garvin is wearing the shin guard that Valentine has had on for the last year. Perfect slaps Garvin and that pisses him off. Great fire up form Garvin with a slam and 2 face punches sends Perfect outside. Perfect back in, Garvin unloads in the corner and Perfect goes back outside. One more hand of stone and Perfect is out again. Perfect hooks the headlock but that doesn’t last long as Perfect decides to try out his strikes on Garvin. Chops and slaps channeling his inner Valentine. Garvin responds with his own strikes and a couple of nasty headbutts. Sunset flip attempt blocked by a hand of stone. Garvin stomp! He attempts the Sharpshooter but its blocked. Damn, Perfect punts Garvin into the corner. Perfect was in control but made the mistake of trying to trade blows with Ronnie. Garvin sleeper has Perfect down but not out. Close pin saved by a leg on the ropes. Garvin in control but can’t get the pin. Criss cross collision and both guys are down. Garvin small package gets 1 and is reversed. Perfect package gets the 3 count… with a handful of tights of course. EASY NOMINATION. This was a blast.
-    EDIT: #39 on the first set. That sounds fair but it has much stiffer competition this time around.
