Posted July 28, 201213 yr comment_5511427 Volkoff does his usual pre-match heat which always rules. This was quite good actually. They actually did triple FIP in this match. Sheik and Windham reversed full nelsons to start the match. Sheik and Volkoff then stooged and bumped for Windham and Rotundo for several minutes. Windham got back body dropped by Sheik during an offensive flurry which started the first heat segment. Sheik spat on Barry which was great then he and Volkoff worked him over. This wasn't a very good heat segment at all. Volkoff was the main aggressor and didn't do much to enhance the match. Barry got the hot tag to Rotundo and the match began to get much better. Rotundo was isolated pretty well and the heels worked on his back with a bear hug. Rotundo got a good comeback going but tripped over Sheik's back on a rope running spot and took a ludicrous bump to the floor. Rotundo continues to get worked over until he makes the hot tag to Barry. Barry throws some great punches on Volkoff then goes for a bulldog but Sheik tremendously kicks him in mid-leap right in the stomach to set up a third heat segment. Barry gets worked over briefly and Sheik puts the Camel Clutch on him but Rotundo makes the save and pounds on Sheik. Volkoff comes in and distracts the referee just as Sheik gets Windham in a small package. Rotundo reverses the small package to have Barry on top and the faces retain their belts. This started out okay, had some bad for a few minutes, then got really good in the second half. I'm generous enough to give this a low end nomination as I thought the second half was very, very good and the beginning was good as well.
