November 3, 201212 yr Author comment_5518810 Short, nothing match. Bravo's offense looks horrible. Hogan makes quick work of him, despite interference from Bravo and Earthquake. Earthquake attacks Hogan after the match and predictably, Warrior makes the save. Hogan takes exception to this and the two of them have a staredown. Warrior teases clotheslining Hogan, but doesn't do it. Weird to see Hogan take Earthquake's finisher when taking three of them was enough to sideline him all summer in a couple of months. Here, he's up fairly quick.
November 8, 201212 yr comment_5519324 This attack was in the ring, those 3 Earthquake splashes were on the Brother Love Show set. THERE'S ONLY A THIN LAYER OF CARPET, JUST FOR THE AESTHETICS, as Jim Ross would explain it.
November 8, 201212 yr comment_5519358 They still built it up after WM6 that Earthquake "cost Hogan the title" with this attack. Just to take some more of the shine off Warrior, I suppose.
November 23, 201212 yr comment_5520816 Pretty shit match. I know bravo was on his way down but he got nothing here as this was a vehicle for Warrior/Hogan now and Hogan/Quake in the future. Good to at least see some interaction between Hogan and Warrior and I don't know why they haven't done a face off type interview with them and Mean Gene.
January 17, 201312 yr comment_5528548 Bravo wins the test of strength! Ah, but Hogan gets him the second time around. Bravo movement is so awkward. He got way too big. Match seemed more a set up to Earthquake’s involvement as he beats up Hogan good. Warrior to the rescue and he does some random criss crossing of the ropes and makes it seem like he will hit Hogan.
January 19, 201312 yr comment_5528962 Milestone alert: this is probably the first Hulk Hogan singles match I ever saw as a kid. Yet I have no nostalgia for this, as this match sucks. Dino Bravo was the shits. They actually do something to try to tease towards Wrestlemania, I guess because they realized that Hogan and Warrior had no real issue. This doesn't provide that real issue, but it's still nice that they're at least trying to give the people a reason to anticipate this nonsense.
September 21, 201312 yr comment_5564036 I didn't think this match was that bad. Mainly a Hogan squash with Warrior coming out to save Hogan from a post-match beatdown. This makes Hogan/Warrior even on their saves for each other.
December 18, 201410 yr comment_5646056 Bravo doesn't even get an extended run on offense. A few punches, the side slam, and that's it. It would have almost been better to see Hogan against Brian Costello or Van Van Horne. They could have worked Quake in too, as he ended up with more offense after the match than Bravo got during it. I would have howled if they'd had Warrior say "the hell with this protection garbage" and take Hogan's head off with that clothesline. He'd have been the hottest heel in WWF history to that point, which is what he should have been after the promos he delivered to set up Mania. But Vince had to have his little storybook.........
December 29, 20159 yr comment_5717774 I liked the Hogan/Warrior staredown at the end. This didn't have sound for me.
