December 4, 201212 yr comment_5521550 Watching the crowd pop with the insult on the lady saying boo was a highlight for the set so far. I love these little segments so much.
January 18, 201312 yr comment_5528709 Lawler with some harsh comments for the studio audience. We get a camera close up on a gentlemen who isn’t the most good looking which Lawler can’t help but take a verbal shot at. If that fan watched the show regularly he must have expected this.
December 25, 201410 yr comment_5646915 The best part is that Dave Brown plays this absolutely straight, selling Lawler's rather lame (sorry, Kingfish) jokes like they're egregious insults against the fine people of Memphis and acting like they're sabotaging the program. I love how he rather peevishly insists that Lawler get in the ring and wrestle like it says on the format sheet. The funny thing is, the jobber, whoever it was, was probably cracking up just out of camera range.
February 12, 20169 yr comment_5726874 Lawler with the cruelest attacks yet, insulting a man with some kind of disability. The atmosphere is almost like a slam poetry reading or something where the crowd just eats up all the insults. Awesome as usual. I love when he points out his fans.
December 17, 20168 yr comment_5779007 Lawler is scheduled for a match, but before he gets in the ring he wants to browse through the audience as he’s seen some sights today. He first fins a couple of men in Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler shirts (one of them is the same chap from several weeks ago) and of course they meet with his approval. A woman starts booing him and he says that someone with a face like hers should boo! He goes to a guy who is not blessed in the looks department and says how everyone has a right to be ugly, but he abuses the system! He then says the only reason that he’s got that bears is because even the razor backed up from that face! You would have thought he’d be a little pissed about being mocked on national TV, but nope, he just laughs at ‘The King’s’ insults of him. The people are practically begging Lawler to pick on them at this point. He spots three girls who are all dressed up and jokes that they’ve all dressed up for the prom. Until he notices that one of them is holding a young baby and says that it’s a little late for the prom for her! The lady tries to say something back, but she seems to have a bit of stage fright and struggles to speak when he puts the microphone in front of her. His parting shot is saying how that when she goes to the beach in a bikini even the tide won’t come in! The crowd are all chanting ‘Jerry, Jerry, Jerry’ by now and you’d have no idea he is supposed to be the lead heel in the promotion! Oh how I’ve missed these segments!
February 17, 20178 yr comment_5788707 Lawler is absolute gold, as he is in all of these. If this is the one with the three teenage girls, I imagine his comments were not what was going through his head.
