Finish of a Terrence Garvin squash. Kerry attacks both Garvin and his opponent. He claims he was blinded by friendship, and because of that, his brother has been hurt. He threatens Borne and wants a fight. John Brazille is down to make the match, and there we go. Kerry is giving up his world title shot to get his hands on the Maniac.

Pretty good segment with Kerry being rather transpicuous by his standards.

Yeah I liked Kerry coming out and causing havoc wanting a piece of Borne and the episodic nature of this episode really feels like Memphis.

Kerry shows up and attacks both Garvin and his opponent. When Kerry hurts, he hurts other people. Doesn’t like his brother being attacked and wants a fight with Borne. Kerry ends up giving up his title shot against Lawler to fight Borne instead.

Good work out of Von Erich here. I know his promos have often been highlights on this yearbook for the wrong reasons, but he does a good job here at showing how badly he wants to get his hands on Borne for what he did to his little (and I do mean little) brother Chris.

Kerry's best promo so far. If he could channel this emotion every time he stepped in front of the mic, we wouldn't spend most of our time either dreading his interviews or laughing at them.

 

This partially explains why we got no new material from Lawler in his earlier promo; he (presumably) knew the match would never take place, so he felt free to say whatever he wanted, knowing that it wouldn't count for anything.

Curious what the jobber's name was that Garvin was beating on. Kerry comes out in bastard pants and is pumped up to get revenge on Borne. He's good here, short and to the point.

Kerry interrupts a Garvin squash attacking both wrestlers and clearing them from the ring. He gets hold of the mic from Marc Lowrance and says that he was blinded by friendship, but because he was blinded, his baby brother has been hurt and when you hurt his brother, you hurt him. He tells Matt Borne that whatever it takes, on Friday night, he is his and if he wants to fight, they’ll fight. Kerry calls for matchmaker John Brozell to come out and tells him that he wants Borne on Friday. Brozell tries to warn him that he’ll be giving up a World title shot, but after what happened to Chris, he doesn’t care. Brozell says fine then and he’ll get the match signed.

One of the few times I have enjoyed Kerry. He really brought the hate here in a way that translates well to...reality? Which is pretty strange for Kerry at this point. It's like a Warrior promo that makes sense.
