Now a stock promo from Kerry, if there is such a thing. He hits all the talking points about SuperClash, which is in all likelihood the only match between him and Lawler that the Florida audience has seen, and promises to be Unified champion for the last time. Considering that he's leaving for Vince soon, if he'd won he would have been more right than he ever knew.

Nice to see that he's not quite as spacey as usual, either. Maybe being seen in front of a new audience inspired him to clean up his act, at least temporarily.

Lee Marshall tells Kerry that Jerry Lawler has said he will give him one more shot at the Unified World title, the belt that he treasures more than anything (I thought that was the Texas title?). Kerry says that Lawler calls himself ‘The King’, but he doesn’t call him ‘The King’ and most people in fact call him ‘The Queen’. If he wants to shoot with him, if he wants to face him, ‘come on!’, but he’s got something that belongs to him. He says how he stood over him at Superclash III with Lawler beaten and lay on his back and he was the loser? Well he’s coming for him again, he’s more ready than he’s ever been and he’s going to be the new champion.

One of the better Kerry interviews for the year.
