It looks more like Ricky Steamboat from the early eighties than it does Kerry, to be honest. It's not quite as far off as some of the wrestling dolls Vince put out in the eighties, though.

This was just another of the many ways that the Dallas promotion tried to make money off of the Von Erich name. Not a triumph in any sense, but not the outright wrestlecrap some of you seem to think it was.

Steve Leach has been working on a painting of Kerry Von Erich for two years. Kerry says that he believed in him when he didn’t believe in himself, and he wouldn’t finish the painting until he won the World Heavyweight title. We get the big unveiling and the painting looks more like ‘Jungle’ Jim Steel than Kerry Von Erich! Prints of the painting are available for $9.95 if anyone wants a copy of it.

Not sure when this advert is from as Marc Lowrance is in the ring and helping with the unveiling. This thing looks like it didn’t take two days to do, let alone two years!
