March 26, 201510 yr comment_5660821 The problem for Paul is that his accent worked against him as far as sounding serious went. Plus, he tended to stumble over his words when he got really excited. We don't see any of that here, though. Of course, Vince didn't really need much of a reason to pair Paul with better talkers like Piper and Heenan, and they each added a lot to Paul's act. I can't imagine his '86 run with Hogan doing nearly as well without The Brain in his corner, for example.
