Yeah, that seemed really counter productive to me. She seemed like a deer in headlights. Didn't really get to do anything to shine. Came out as NXT champ to hype the NXT PPV on Thursday. Then jobbed to Natalya in a nothing match. Just...I don't know. Doesn't make a lick of sense.

If you look at how they book the NXT vs. main roster matches they obviously feel it's important to put over even the bottom rung main roster guys as superior to everyone in developmental. I can see where they're coming from and I know from Japan that the 'climbing the ladder' approach to building someone up can work but I don't know that it's ever worked in WWE.

Yeah that was her first in-ring performance so it should have been treated much special. I mean half the crowd has no clue that Charlotte was one of the 3 divas in the Triple H entrance. If you wanted to showcase NXT stars but her in the ring with someone like becky Lynch or Emma.

Sure the WWE won't mention it. Hell they can't remember what they did last week most of the time. The fans who watch RAW will remember unless you are going to hold her off for a good year

That is a silly argument, it's a match on a main roster show, that is televised, and it's her first, so it is her debut. You'll remember, I'll remember, 99% of the fan base will remember, which is why the end result is counter productive. Count out, DQ, etc. are made for situations like that match.

They most likely do remember that match and will remember this one. Wrestling fans, casual or otherwise, tend to display pretty graphic memories for the most minute things.

No, they don't and won't. Where did you get that idea? Most wrestling fans are not the kind of folk you find on boards like this. Unless it's a main event star, they're not going to remember.

I'm not talking about people on boards, but people at work who only watch WWE and can ring off stuff that happened five years ago that I barely remember.

A loss isn't going to kill Charlotte- she's too good for that.

Last I checked Emma is dead in the water, Nattie is teetering on the edge of being dead all the time, Alicia Fox has been dead ever since she actually became good, etc. Being good in the WWE does not matter if you're a woman, at least as long as Dunn and Vince are around.
