In defense of Mick he wasn't the only former worker that was critical of the booking. Maybe he's the only one on the payroll though

He was the most vocal. Jericho criticized, but he's not on the payroll right now and it was way tamer than Foley's crazy rants and destruction of his television. Austin criticized some of the booking....but in a much saner more measured way that was more about putting Bryan over, plus he's not beholden to WWE. Foley was collecting a paycheck and expected to be a "brand ambassador".

Even after that they kept using Foley on the pre/post roundtables and public appearances, so I'm guessing whatever anger they have towards him right now is more due to the complaining about his royalties and not signing his new Legends deal. Add to that the other stuff and HHH (who's never been high on Foley) was probably like, "fuck this guy", and I wouldn't blame him.

HHH isn't a fan of Foley? I've always thought Foley was a pretty big part of HHH's success, not that that requires any sort of resppect or admiration between the two.

Some people have suggested that's the reason why Triple H isn't a fan of Foley. Namely that Triple H dislikes the fact that people associate his breakthrough because of his work with Foley and not because of his own greatness or some shit to that effect.

Seriously, Triple H would have gone far with or without Foley.

Interesting note from the WON: While Daniel Bryan is now the number two merchandise seller in WWE, Cena still sells FIVE TIMES as much merchandise as Bryan.

Was that 5 times in terms of revenue or 5 times in terms of number of items?

Just out of curiosity, how many Cena items are available for sale compared to other wrestlers?

WWE pay-per-view advances are looking strong right now. Extreme Rules on May 4th is set up for 14,000 fans and is almost sold out. Payback on June 1st is set up for 11,000 and is almost sold out as well. Money in the Bank on June 29th has sold 10,000 tickets with just 2,000 still available.

Nothing publicly. It's been in the WON for a few years that he gets angry at the idea Foley "made" him and resents when that gets played up.

He's made a lot of public backhanded digs towards him. I'm not going to dig up quotes, but it's been discussed in threads on this board

For me the proof is in the pudding, Trips just needs to accept it. I recall very few people buying him as a legit world champion at the beginning of 2000. Then Foley goes out there and makes Trips look like a complete killer and legit world champion, and Trips runs with what Foley set up. I think it's silly of anyone to think that Foley is solely responsible for Trips having the run to success that he did, but he does deserve credit for helping propel Trips to heights he hadn't yet achieved and in making Trips seem legit.

According to a new report by The Wrestling Observer, it wasn't the Undertaker's decision to end his undefeated streak at Wrestlemania XXX this year. However, if he truly didn't want to end the streak, he could have fought the decision and stopped it. It was Vince McMahon who made the call to have Brock Lesnar win. The original plan was for Undertaker to get the win. A few days before the show, McMahon changed his mind, likely having seen the Undertaker's physical condition and thinking that it could be his last match. Vince decided that if the streak was going to end, it was now or never. There are mixed reports on Taker's reaction to the decision, one source claims he had to be talked into the decision while another said he didn't argue at all.

In the web store, Cena has 65 items on his superstar page, Daniel Bryan has 52. CM Punk has 72.

One of Foley's books mentions his relationship with HHH soured during Mick's program with Orton. I think he was under the impression that HHH wanted Orton to squash him.

Foley alluded on a recent Wrestling Observer Radio that certain people were in Orton's ear, telling him not to trust Foley, or something like that. Orton went to Foley to tell him this, but Foley and Orton talked it over, and Orton trusted Foley's direction. At least that's what Foley said on this appearance.

In the Hardcore Diaries, Foley states that the violent match proposed for Backlash 2004 was shot down by "somebody". He then says that "somebody" didn't mind the match style when it was benefiting him.

The only other I remember Foley having a pop at HHH was when Lillian Garcia helped the WWE out by coming to Raw to do the announcing when they were in a tough spot, and HHH compared her to a horse on air. He said it was spiteful and in poor taste, which is perhaps fair enough if it bothered Lillian and wasn't some sort of private joke she got a kick out of.

Well this will break your heart.

Awful week for all things Daniel Bryan related as his most well known Make A Wish kid seems to have passed away according to ring announcer Justin Roberts:

Connor was a true, fighting champion that captured the hearts of everyone he encountered. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey, you will be missed.

WWE actually flew him out to Wrestlemania 30 to see his hero Daniel Bryan win the title:

How many women do you know get a kick out of being called horse-faced?
