Christian has the same attitude on this NXT pre show than he did when he had to introduce a TNA hall of fame member at a PPV. Doesn't care one bit.

I think he's been fine. He has a familiarity with the product and it shows.

Heyman making fun of the Cole interview with Tyson and Natty was gold.

I miss Heyman selling me pro wrestling shows.

He picked up at the end....Heyman was great and the Cole bit with Nattie/Tyson was awesome

I'm digging Adam Rose's face Adrian Street mannerisms.

Camacho looked pretty good on this match. Unfortunately that is probably the biggest match he will ever have.

 

It seems like the main purpose of the match was to teach RAW and Smackdown fans how to enjoy Adam Rose

Nice touch of having Tyler Breeze singing his own entrance music like Shawn Michaels.

I really hope that Lana doesn't go with Rusev when he inevitably gets repackaged, released, or demoted.

I loved that William Regal actually told why chops to the chest hurt people instead of the massive bruising. I am sure that others have said that but never heard it from a WWE guy. The idea that Regal is only a part timer at NXT and not a full timer in the WWE is a crime

 

I think Nattie and Charlotte were getting confused on the logic of the figure 4 leg lock because they were selling reversals at the wrong position

This is why Paul heyman is awesome #580 with this Fallout show. "It doesn't matter what I think about the show because I am getting paid to be here. I matters what the universe thinks"

For a guy who normally doesn't give a shit about women's matches, I really, really enjoyed Charlotte vs Nattie.

Just started watching NXT Takeover, very fun show. I gotta say, Bret Hart and Ric Flair as dueling little league coaches is pretty funny.

How did the stream on the network hold up for everyone?

Worked fine for me except for a slight pause during the beginning of the Zayn match. In fact, I had more problems during the Legends House show than during NXT.

Legends house is awesome.

 

I liked takeover a lot. I didn't seem to like the zayn and divas matches as much as some, but I did like both of them, and I really enjoyed the tag match too. I think Neville has been badly exposed, as Kidd looked much better in the main to me, and the match - while not bad - was really flat. Still if you count the pre and post shows, and look at the whole package, I thought it was one if the stronger top to bottom shows this year

I was happy to see Bret and Ric looking better than they have in a while. With Bret it seemed like it was just a matter of not dressing like a homeless person for once, but Ric looked less like the bloated drunk mess he's been lately and more like a human being. There was a tidbit in the WON a few issues back about Flair working out and dropping weight, and it shows.

I enjoyed Takeover, but it falls short of the much stronger Ascension show. I felt like Zayn/Breeze, Charlotte/Natty, and Neville/Kidd were all layed out too similarly. The formula worked, but it was used consecutively in 3 matches, which was a little much.

Neville would be best as Kidman-in-the-Flock/Gabriel-in-Nexus role, where he got to just hit his big spots during group beatdowns.

Meltz is saying that they still don't know when Bryan will return. The new twist is that Brie in interviews has stated she wants to start a family so this may be a way to get her to take time off

The crowd on SD was absolutely dead for Alicia's act. Its been a hit with net fans but the crowds haven't exactly been reacting strongly WWE has done a terrible job building up the secondary diva wrestlers and it's showing here. And is it me or has Paige barely been on .tv the last month or so?

I'll calm down in a minute but Becky Lynch made her debut at the NXT tapings tonight. Sasha and Summer Rae both broke character and visually marked out when Becky's music hit - Sasha is famed for never breaking character. Becky beat Summer Rae with an Exploder suplex - her signature move on the indies.

So crazy about two years ago I thought Rebecca was utterly completely done with Wrestling leaving this legacy of this incredible young Wrestler who sadly retired.

Can't wait for Bo as Mr. NXT.

Mr. NXT was outstanding as was Bo's retrospective video. The NXT tapings tonight were better than Takeover I thought. Kidd/Neville was also better on the tapings than the takeover match.

Completely blown away by everything about Takeover. The presentation, the atmosphere, the storytelling, the matches and the greatest man in wrestling PAUL HEYMAN. Honestly I thought it was one of Paul's best nights ever, he was so great every second he was on screen.

Charlotte vs. Nattie was one of the most shockingly great matches I've ever seen. I thought it had potential to be a fun match, but I had no idea it could turn into the epic that it did. Every reservation I had about Charlotte is in the bin now. She's going to be incredible.

Breeze vs. Zayn took a bit of time to get going, but when it did.... boy oh boy. Those last 7 or 8 minutes were phenomenal. If they had hit the Pumphandle Orange Crush smoothly I think the roof would have come off the place. Unfortunately I think Breeze was too big. It always looked amazing when PAC took it from Generico. Really clever finish to the match as well.

Neville vs. Kidd suffered from the crowd being tired, and they had alot of time to fill so maybe it wasn't the dynamic match that it needed to be to get the crowd super into it. That said it was still a really solid World Title match and I thought things like the Chasing Russian LegSweep and the super rana looked unreal.

A million thumbs up for this show! I don't know how many things they've produced that clicked on as many different levels as this. They created new stars, they produced legitimate drama, they had great wrestling, an enthusiastic crowd response and their production with the amazing video packages and graphics was out of this world. Most importantly, they seemed just really likeable as a company.

 

and I almost forgot my favourite bit of the show. THAT RUSEV KICK!!!! MY GOD!
