This is booked as a result of the 6 man tag the prior week. This had a real grizzly feel to it. Both guys had you believing that they don't like one another. Blanchard was great with all of his cheapshotting throughout the match. Windham took some holy fuck bumps to the outside. My favorite cheapshot of Tully's was when they were both on the outside. Tully starts to run from him. Barry follows, and Tully stops and pivots and nails Barry with a wicked clothesline. What a great cross up of a traditional wrestling spot. The finish was chaotic but well executed. Overall another high end nomination from 2 of the NWA's best.

NWA World TV Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Barry Windham (5/9/87)

The $10,000 is also on the line as well. This had some good back and forth action to start with Barry making it a slugfest forcing Tully to go to the floor to regroup. Barry is taking it to Tully but Dillon would distract Scrappy McGowan as Windham had Tully down with a lariat. Windham would then lock on a sleeper hold and they tumbled to the floor where Windham kept the hold before breaking it and went back to the ring. Windham then went back to the floor and got posted by Tully for his trouble as we went to break but we come back and Tully is getting beat on again. Dillon would give Tully his shoe and he nailed Windham with it as Scrappy wasn't looking but Barry would kick out. Blanchard would send Barry to the floor and then went for a piledriver but Barry would backdrop him on the floor. The action goes back to the ring with Windham in full control getting a couple of nearfalls. Windham has Tully reeling with under a minute left but he can't put him away. Barry would send Tully to the floor and they brawled as the bell rang for the time limit draw. This was a damn fun hard hitting battle and is a solid nomination.
