Posted December 17, 201212 yr comment_5522813 World Championship Wrestling Sunday Edition 11/29/87 The show is hosted by Tony & Missy Hyatt who they wanted to push but Gilbert quitting squashed that. Ricky Santana comes out for a promo about the Bunkhouse Stampede show at his home in Miami. The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. Tommy Angel & John Savage (11/28/87) Squash with Corny doing commentary and Missy interviews the heels afterwards. Nikita Koloff is out next for a promo wearing a Ribera's jacket gloating about being the only TV champ. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Mike Rotundo & Kendall Windham (11/28/87) Interesting match here with Mike teaming with his other brother-in-law. Very competitive early with Kendall throwing some nice punches and Rotundo frustrating the heels with his wrestling ability. Rotundo works FIP and is really good here with his hope spots while taking punishment. Kendall would get the hot tag and he ran wild even hitting the bulldog on Tully but was thrown into Rotundo allowing Tully to hit his slingshot suplex on Kendall to win. Rotundo was upset afterwards basically blaming Kendall for the loss and says that he is a lone wolf now which plants the seeds for his heel turn. The champs looked strong here on both sides and the challengers gave them a fight and this was a fine TV match. Arn & Tully cut a promo next about beating the Roadies at Starrcade. "Total Package" Lex Luger vs. David Isley (11/28/87) Squash. Flair joins Luger & Dillon afterwards for a promo talking about how great they are. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert vs. Bob Riddle (11/28/87) Easy win for Eddie and Missy interviews him afterwards basically acting like he is another wrestler not acknowledging their past. Gilbert cuts a great promo here on Nikita. "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko vs. Ricky Santana (11/28/87) Santana gives Larry a run for his money but Baby Doll would throw him off the top rope for the DQ. Barry Windham runs out and runs off Zbyszko afterwards. World Championship Wrestling 12/5/87 Western States Heritage Title: Barry Windham © vs. Larry Zbyszko (12/2/87) Jim Ross has now joined the commentary team as of this show. Good match that goes to a draw but is JIP. Sting comes out for a promo next and calls out Flair starting his saga. The Powers of Pain (The Barbarian & The Warlord) vs. Robbie Idol & Bob Towers (12/2/87) Squash. Paul Jones and his Army cut a promo next about the Roadies. Ronnie Garvin is out for a promo next talking about his quest to regain the NWA title. "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. Jerry Grey (12/2/87) Squash and a promo afterwards. Sting vs. Bob Cook (12/2/87) Squash. Roadies cut a promo afterwards about Paul Jones' Army. "Sweet" Stan Lane vs. Kendall Windham (12/2/87) They are setting up both members of the MX for shots at Dusty's US title. Kendall puts up a fight but Corny nailed with the racket on the floor forcing a countout. Dusty cuts a taped promo next about the Bunkhouse Stampede and what it takes to win. Flair & Dillon cut a promo next about defending his title against Michael Hayes later on the show. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Italian Stallion & Nelson Royal (12/2/87) Fairly easy win for the Horsemen and a promo afterwards. NWA World TV Title: "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Mark Starr (12/2/87) Squash and a promo afterwards. Kevin Sullivan vs. Rick Ryder (12/2/87) Squash. Luger cuts a promo afterwards with Dillon talking about his future after Starrcade saying he is ready to break out of the pack with Dillon making some interesting facials behind him. "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton vs. Rex King (12/2/87) Easy win for Bobby. Mike Rotundo vs. Thunderfoot (Joel Deaton) (12/2/87) Sullivan comes out to talk to Rotundo but he no-sells him so Sullivan gets on commentary and talks about Rotundo needing a new vision. Sullivan then yells at him on the floor and Rotundo gains some intensity. R&R Express cut a promo next about the Bunkhouse Stampede.
