We continue with Superbouts 2/6/88.

Arn & Tully are out with JJ next for a really damn fun promo on Luger as they just tee off on him.

NWA World TV Title: "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff © vs. Mike Rotundo (1/17/88)

Mike is in full Syracuse gear now with Sullivan at ringside and he is working full fledged heel also which for doing the first time in his career he adapted very well. There is some clipping here but we got the main parts of the match which is basically all Mike trying to get Nikita to work his style which he won't so he takes punishment before getting the advantage and he spends his whole time working over the left arm. Nikita would make a comeback but as he went for a Russian Sickle, Sullivan would trip him up. Rick Steiner would run out afterwards and it was 3-on-1 on Nikita until Dusty and RnR made the save.

NWA Superbouts 2/13/88

Sting vs. The Gladiator (1/15/88)

Squash and a promo afterwards with Sting really starting up his quest on Flair.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff & The Warlord vs. Mark Fleming & Bob Riddle (1/15/88)

Squash.

Flair & JJ are out next where they finally start addressing Sting saying that he has some nerve calling out Flair on TV being at his level.

Arn & JJ then cut a promo on Lex next.

"Sweet" Stan Lane & "Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Andrew Bellamy & Stan Crews (1/15/88)

Lane & Murdoch is quite the team.

Dusty is out next for a promo regarding the bounty on his head.

NWA World TV Title: Nikita Koloff © vs. Mike Rotundo (1/26/88)

This is the rematch. Both men traded holds early on and Rotundo was definitely dictating the pace here as it was slow and deliberate. The action would pick up late in the match especially when Rick Steiner showed up at ringside where he grabbed Nikita as he had Rotundo pinned. Nikita would hit the Sickle on Rotundo but Earl Hebner was with Steiner and Sullivan would nail Nikita with a spike allowing Rotundo to win. Okay match.

NWA Superbouts 2/20/88

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Gene Ligon (1/15/88)

Your standard fun Garvin squash.

Next is a Paul Jones Army promo.

US Heavyweight Title: "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes © vs. "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton (1/26/88)

Eaton is great here bumping like a madman for Dusty who was always great against the Memphis style heels. Dusty is in full flip flop and fly mode and the crowd is losing their shit. Corny would have to distract Tommy Young allowing Eaton to use the tennis racket for him to get the advantage and when he did Eaton was relentless on the attack especially on Dusty's left knee. Dusty would hit a fucking insane looking DDT on the floor as a hope spot with him falling forward with Bobby as he was selling his knee giving out and Bobby hit all floor. Bobby to his credit though got right back up and kept going and it would turn into a slugfest ending up with Corny throwing some knux in the ring but Dusty would get them and used them to KO Bobby for the win. Corny told Tommy Young about this and he saw it before reversing the decision. Very fun sprint and I'll throw it on the block.

Luger is out for a promo next about the next match.

Western States Heritage Title: Barry Windham © vs. Tully Blanchard (1/15/88)

Ross on commentary here is already dropping hints about how the Horsemen want Windham to be their newest member so the wheels are already turning. The action here is very good but this is heavily clipped as we get like half the match. They also go to instant replay here at the announce table as Dillon rings the bell and they tell Tommy Young about it then show him on the monitor which is a cool touch and Dillon wanted the bell rung as Tully was getting pinned so he was trying to win over Windham. This ends up in a wild brawl with Ric & Arn coming out. They want Windham to help them but he helps Luger and a fan shows up trying to get involved so they take care of him too. Sting runs out to help clear the ring as well. This is a wild finish but like I said the match is cut in half.

World Championship Wrestling Sunday Edition 2/8/87

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. George South (1/31/87)

Squash and a promo afterwards.

Brad Armstrong is out next for a promo about his upcoming match with Tully.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Gary Royal (1/31/87)

Another fun Garvin squash and a promo afterwards.
