January 29, 201312 yr Author comment_5531625 Adding Piper to this feud as Virgil's trainer was really great use of him. This segment is all about him deprogramming Virgil, teaching him the difference between friends and fools. I really liked this.
February 3, 201312 yr comment_5532881 I think Piper saves this segment. If someone else was in Virgil's corner this segment would have sucked balls.
February 26, 201312 yr comment_5537017 Piper literally cuts promos for both himself and Virgil. We sort of redo the JYD/Pez Whatley angle from Georgia with Piper slapping Virgil around and forcing him to stand up for himself. Good stuff here. Even though a Virgil/DiBiase feud practically writes itself, Virg was clearly not ready to be on his own in any way.
March 16, 201312 yr comment_5539188 Piper wants to talk about human rights. Roddy shines Virgil’s shoes. Piper asks Virgil to slap him but ends up knocking the mic out of Okerlund’s hand. Roddy is a motivational speaker. He does a good job with Virgil doing most of the talking.
May 16, 201312 yr comment_5544795 One of my favorite promos as a kid and it still holds up to this day. Great piece of character work with virgil.
April 16, 201510 yr comment_5665042 Human rights as only the Hot Rod can teach them. If we couldn't have Piper's Pit, this was the next best thing. Virgil does the best he can with his limited lines, although I seem to remember him as slightly better than this. Maybe that comes later on.
May 9, 20178 yr comment_5799864 I really loved Piper in this segment. He's the man. A good point - I agree, had it been anyone else this could have been awful. But, with Piper, it was awesome.
