Posted July 3, 200520 yr comment_2741711 The last few years we've been inundated by new flavors of coke and pepsi. Diet Coke with Lemon, Diet Vanilla Coke, Diet Coke with Lime, etc. Then we had the low carb craze so we got Pepsi Edge, C2, and all that fun stuff. Then a few weeks ago I see Diet Coke with Splenda. Ok, we all need our splenda fix because god help us if our dieting products don't taste EXACTLY like the crap that make us fat in the first place. Now I see Coca-Cola Zero. Looking at the package, it seems they have FINALLY removed that pesky calorie! I know it kept me up at night before, knowing I would have to melt THREE ice cubes in my mouth to burn off the calories consumed in a twelve-pack of Diet Coke! Seriously, what the hell is the point? It looks like the exact same stuff adjusted slightly, repackaged, and placed back on the shelves.
July 3, 200520 yr comment_2741945 Al that's exactly all it is. Repacking and remarketing. Worse, this will probably work out ten times better than before.
July 3, 200520 yr Author comment_2742011 Wow. Life really sucks between soft drinks and holidays. The holidays suck. The soft drink rant is the by-product of an uninteresting Saturday night. As you can probably guess, I am not a socializer.
July 3, 200520 yr comment_2742304 You know, Coca-Cola C2 isn't really that much of a drop from regular Coca-Cola Classic. I probably wouldn't be able to differentiate between them in a taste test.

July 3, 200520 yr comment_2747143 The only soda I ever drink is Diet Rite. The zero sodium is a big deal.
July 4, 200520 yr comment_2755976 I pulled out a skid of Coke at work last week that contained Coke, Diet Coke, and Zero. Out of curiosity, I compared the ingredients of Diet Coke and Zero, to find that they were exactly the same.
July 5, 200520 yr comment_2760197 The only time I will even think about soda, aside from hearing people talk about soda (well duh), is when Pitch Black is on shelves again. I just shake my head at this diet/(low/no)carb marketing garbage. Not because I dislike diet soda (I don't), just because it proves how foolish and insecure people are in general.
