March 31, 201312 yr Author comment_5540454 Now Slick is attempting to recruit Andre the Giant. Slick is standing by a car with an open trunk, so you can guess how it ends up. The WWF's patterned booking is on display here. They love to take a single concept, repeat it with different people, and keep doing that until the point is made. Maybe that's all wrestling, I don't know, but it's definitely WWF wrestling.
April 3, 201312 yr comment_5540794 Andre's farewell tour is humiliating all the managers on his way out.
April 5, 201312 yr comment_5541091 This is the "Battle for Bam Bam" all over again. You'd think Slick would be able to entice Andre with a snazzier locale than an arena loading dock--the limo effect is sort of killed there. Slick is no Teddy Long, but Andre seems to be having fun with these.
April 30, 201312 yr comment_5543359 Pretty obvious what is going to happen here with the trunk open. Was there any plan to this Andre turning down managers storyline?
July 6, 201312 yr comment_5550086 As a 2 minute clip this was fine. Slick is looking a little worse for wear and they found a unique premise to humiliate each manager.
May 23, 201510 yr comment_5669636 Andre and Slick is about the worst fit imaginable, even at this stage. Maybe back in the day when he had Gang and Bossman, but not now. I agree that Andre seems to be having a ball with these, and if he was as beloved as almost everyone claims he was, the managers were probably lined up waiting for their chance to work with him one last time, even in a context like this. Good on Vince for giving them (and Andre) the opportunity to do so.
December 27, 20177 yr comment_5825507 Poor Andre was so hunched over from a life of pain that Slick was almost eyeball to eyeball with him.
