The "Spirit of America" is recording a vignette about how he loves America so much that he picks up garbage on sideways and in parks. He pleads with everyone for help. O ... kay. Eric Embry drives by and laughs (rightfully so) in a really funny moment. Embry starts throwing trash everywhere. This is SO horrible, but hilarious. Must-see.

SoA was there a few months prior as Humongus. He's clipped off the bleached rat-tail. Here he would team occasionally with...The Warrior. New Jersey indy stalwart Jimmy Atlas comes in with the others from that area (Sandman & JT Smith) and becomes the most blatant Hellwig ripoff youve ever seen. That includes Renegade. It was so bad that the graphics for the MSC cards had a profile shot of Hellwig. I guess we were supposed to think Ultimate Warrior was in the 3rd match vs Tony Falk.

Eric Embry gives the reaction of everyone watching. God he's so awesome.

The guy playing SOA was in one of my favourite USWA segments. When he was unmasked by Bull Pain in a really weird moment the announcers were like THAT'S HE-MAN RANDY LEWIS!!! even though no one had a clue who he was they kept repeating it with the same amount of conviction as you would say "That's Bill Clinton!" if you saw our ex-president walking down the street.

Spirit of America represents the good ol' US of A by picking up trash. In-between heckling from Eric Embry he exhorts all of us to come out on a Saturday and Sunday to see how fun trash pick-up can be. Because nothing is more patriotic than court-appointed community service--come to think of it, that could have been one of the penances Sgt. Slaughter could have paid instead of going sightseeing. Embry unloads a trash can out of spite. Spirit tells us that Embry is the kind of trash he's here to clean up, and the sadness in his eyes is palpable. WCW wishes their marketing failures could be this spectacular.

Why Embry's wasting his time with someone we're not supposed to have ever heard of before is something I can't understand.

This gimmick seems to be one of those "so babyfaced he's a heel" type deals. We're supposed to get behind someone who picks up trash for fun? Even if this guy's supposed to be more patriotic than Hulk Hogan, Jim Duggan, and Sgt. Slaughter put together, this is way too much. This guy needed to debut in the ring first to win over the fans, then start with the vignettes and a possible Embry feud.
