I'm glad I didn't go training today, if I had I'd have probably got blown to pieces walking out of Russell Square station.

This shit is really fucked up. The entire transport system is likely to be down for days and the G8 meeting is screwed. Mercifully there have only been a couple of deaths so far and the majority of the damage is structural but this probably doesn't bode well for a brown guy like me living in London.

Now apparently our enconomy is going down the tubes right now on the stock markets. God knows how much that trip to Spain will cost me by tomorrow.

Wow, I woke up and heard about this happening. Just the crap we needed right now in the world. >_< Stupid people. So stupid.

I'm trying to check all my sparring buddies that train at SOAS round the corner from Russell Square are alright. Hopefully everything will be cool.

What's scary is that these guys are still on the loose, so what's stopping them from doing this again and establishing that the government and the law enforcement agencies are inadequate?

It's a fucked up world we live in. It makes me sad that I chose to bring two other lives into it, much like I felt during 9/11. I remember holding my newborn daughter on that morning, watching the news in a state of "War of the Worlds"-like paranoia. I apologized to her aloud for her having to be here, for me bringing her into a world filled with such irrational, nefarious and savage people who think that violence and taking the lives of others can actually be somehow justified.

My deepest sympathies and sincerest heartfelt condolences go out to ANYONE touched by this latest tragedy, not just those in London or in the UK. We're ALL citizens of the WORLD and like this board has proven, we all have friends and family all over it.

When my mother called me about this today, she reminded me that if this had been 2000, I'd have been in class at King's College in London, near Waterloo Station, on my Study Abroad trip.

My hopes and prayers are with the British people as well as all travellers who are stuck there right now trying to contact their families.

It was probably an offshoot al queda cell that managed to stay off the radar till now.

Despite what the news tells you, al queda isn't a top-down group where the top terrorist tells a certain cell to attack, it's more of a loose group of like minded individual cells. That'll probably make it hard to decisively pin down who all is involved.

It's most likely a cell of Al Queda. I could also see a slim chance some of those G-8 protestors might've done something but I would seriously doubt it. Though the news has been horrible with the coverage. CNN seems to think OBL is the be all end all of terrorists.

The kooks are moving in record time as they're already blaming the Jews and Karl Rove for this.

I am getting a little concerned. I have e-mailed two our board members to make sure they are ok and have not heard back from either one of them. If anyone hears from Famous Mortimer or Nik Johnson (Dazed) or sees their names on the board, let us know.

The best case scenario is that both just happen to be away from the computers at the present time. We don't want to know the worst case so if anyone , or if Nik or Mortimer pop up, let us know!!!
